My Princess E14: Live “Transcap”

Now that this drama is winding down, I want to say why I liked it. I loved how HY showed his love for LS. I dont mean just the romantic gestures he made up front, but the ones behind her back to protect her. His love for her extended to her mom – watching how he took such care and was so nice to her mom was heartwarming -even to her friends. Not once did I doubt his love for LS and his declarations were the most meaningful ones I have seen lately in a drama. Now it is her turn and I hope we get to see LS voice her affections as much as he did. Cuz right now in his life, that is what he needs the most. He lost someone very important and knowing he has someone who will never make him feel alone again will probably give him the courage to move on with his grief.

Part of the reason why I started this drama was cuz i like the old actor that played the grandpa- so yeah – I admit it- i cried tonight. It was kind of hard to move on from him cuz I love how he acts so much.

Tonight SSH made an impression too – I thought he handled that emotional scene pretty well. People dont give him enough credit, but he isnt a bad actor. This is my first time seeing him since that other drama where he cried nonstop- something autumn-forgot the title. I only saw a few episodes of that, but his tears then didnt generate any emotion in me. Throughout this drama, he had a lot of crying scenes and this time, his tears elicited a response. Maybe it was the character he was portraying- HY is very likeable- but I think the stuff SSH went through in his personal life made him a better actor somehow. For me to pay him this compliment- not sure who that shocks more- me or my sister who is going to read this soon.

Like someone said in the comments, I want to know how her dad really died. Did it happen like the way grandpa narrated? did her dad get hit accidentally by a car? I still don’t get the chairman’s reasons for kicking his own son out of the country if he didn’t think his son was a bad influence for HY.

HY cried a lot tonight – wonder if he was just as emotional with his dad when he went to see him.

More than likely that is what we will see next week.

Guess we got our time jump when HY left to go see his dad. There are two episodes to go, but it seems like everything is resolved so what is there left to tell except for them getting married. Not sure how eveyone else feels, but this is new for me. Never saw a drama that didn’t pack as much info possible in the last three episodes. It is like we were going along at a pretty high speed, then we slowed down to finally get the chance to look around, and now the car has stopped. Kind of feels like we are suppose to get out and look around cuz we reached our destination- only it doesnt look familiar at all. That’s how I feel right now.

starts with LS opening the door and the kiss

HY: we cant run away from each other

right now i dont know how hard it is for you

what your heart is like

that’s how I can be by your side

he hugs her again

then he asks if his room is still empty

LS: what?

HY: royal grand executive presidential suite

cuz i am going to use it today

she asks what he means

he says let’s go in

she complains for him to let her go

but he says she needs to show him to his room

did you clean it?

she tells him to leave

HY: where can I go this late at night?

to tell you the truth cuz of you I am sick right now

in the middle of winter how could you leave someone outside all day

LS: stop pretending/dont be a baby

HY puts her hand up to his forehead

look – I have a fever huh?

do i have a fever or not? it is hot isnt it?

LS: it is cold

HY:what do you mean it is cold?

put your hand up to it

he touches his own head and claims it is hot

she tells him not to change the subject

HY: I think I have a body ache now

either turn up the heater or

clears his throat and gets a goofy grin on his face

if you are going to stay with me till morning

then an unheated room is ok too

she pulls her hand away and walks out

she leaves and comes back in suddenly hitting him with the door

he rubs his head: ya – you should have knocked

she reminds him how he told her to come into his room

without knocking cuz he did that to her at the palace

HY: that and this – they are totally different

she turns up the heat and leaves him alone in the room

J is gathered with some old guys

Y comes in and asks what is going on

he tells her to sit

he says they are gathered about the fake princess incident

he says all this complicated stuff

but ends with the person who is behind it all was Y

old guy says they talked about it with J a lot

and thinks the same as J

J tells her to take responisibilty for what she did and orders her to step down

Y yells at J when they are alone

she asks why he did something like this

even if everyone in the world turned their back on her

how could he do this to her

he says it was a chance to do -something-

and that if he had to do more than that-he will

Y: why? for what?

for LS ‘s sake?

for the restoration’s sake?

or what you love so much – the royal artifacts? (total guess on this one)

J: no – for the sake of the woman I loved to death  once

so that you can start over

I am getting rid of everything you have right now

LS and HY are sitting at the table  together

but HY just stares at her without eating

she said : why- you said you were hungry

HY: i am hungry

but i am not going to eat

so i can get sick

if i am sick and lying down with a high fever

then you will be worried about me

sit next to me and put cold compress on my head

make me porridge and spoon feed it to me

while i am sleeping – you will be afraid something will happen to me

so you will stay by my side

she calls him childish

HY if i am sick to the point of dying

for a short time you can forget about how much your hear aches

even if you cant stand the sight of me – so that you cant help wanting to see me

I want to be that sick

she tells him to hurry and eat and leave cuz her mom is coming

he says he called her

she said she had something things to take care of so she cant come

even if she came – she will just take my side

mom likes park sa bang a lot

LS: I like you a lot too

I like park sa bang a lot too

and missed you

but i need some time

I know it isnt your fault

but it’s not my fault either

right now I am having a hard time

everything is complicated and twisted around

I need time to overcome all this

and during that time

I think I can endure if I can hate someone

I”m really sorry

but the person I can hate is you

while my father and I kept getting kicked out

I was too young thank goodness

so all i did was hold my dad’s hand

whether we slept on the street

begged for food

I was okay

cuz  i didnt know how others lived

but when i think how much my father suffered

it hurts too much

so the only thing i can do now

is to hate you

HY: then just hate me

but dont push me away too far

dont (blame?) yourself for hating me

just put me in front of you

look at me and think “cuz of you i am happy”

and hate me all you want

in that way

I want to be something to you

LS’s new teacher comes to the pension

the guy apologizes for coming late at night

HY asks who he is

she introduces him and HY asks how could his subordinate do tutoring

and the guy retorts what is HY doing here when he is suppose to be on leave

HY instructs her not to just answer and to ignore that question

and she says it doesnt seem like a bad question so why

and HY says he can tell right off that it is a bad question

he asks the guy point blank why he is here

the guy is here to take her to the palace

HY: without any warning you are here to take the princess away

she says she wont go back cuz something came up

HY tells her to go in

and he will take care of this

she tells the guy sorry for coming all this way and drive back safely

the guy says HY is getting in the way

HY says since the princess went in he is going to speak

to the guy informally since HY is older

HY calls out what the guy said and says

since when is the president’s personal errand considered that

HY tells him to go tell the president

not to shake the monarchy anymore

and that if the president continues, he might tell the whole country

what the president agreed to with his grandfather

LS asks HY if he left

HYsays this is why you need a guy around

what would you have done if I wasnt here when that guy came by

LS: since that “guy” left – how about this “guy” leaving too

HY; what? “guy”

he complains how she refers to him this way often

so she says if he doesnt want to hear it -go out

he says he doesnt want to

cuz in a few mins other ppl are dropping by

she asks: what are you saying? someone else is coming?

doorbell

HY; they must be here

sunah and her office friend (Min)come in

sunah says she missed LS and the other girl (Min) asks if she has been well

LS asks how they came

sunah says Mr P called them

LS says that isnt mr p

K and YC come too

K says he missed her

YC asks if she has been well

LS asks how they knew to come

YC says HY had sense and drew them a map

mong jr comes too

he rushes in saying the instructor guy is on his way

and mong jr came over first to warn them

HY tells mong jr that he already came and left

doorbell rings again

LS asks HY just how many ppl did he call

HY says there is no one left

J comes too

he asks LS if he can come in but he already has

HY mutters why he came since he didnt call him

J tells him to hold this and gives him bags of beer

they all have a party

even mong jr

HY gets up cuz he needs to fill some empty plates of food and tells J to get up and help

J says he was going to

mong jr keeps burbing and applogizes to the princess

then he hits on sunah saying she is beautiful and asks for her name

sunah hits on K and asks him to raise a toast with her

he says ok and asks what they should toast to- for the monarchy

LS asks for a new toast

then mong jr hits on Min asking where her hometown is

YC  raises a cheer to love that cant be confessed

they all like that one and toast

YC does a love shot with K

mong Jr finds out where Min is from and says his mom told him not to meet girls from there

so they laugh

mong jr suggest playing games

LS looks over at HY and J

HY and J are in the kitchen

HY says look at that-she is carelessly drinking again

J asks what HY is worried when she is drinking with friends and at home

HY says you havent drank with my LS have you

J: “my LS”?

HY: she isnt your average cute

J gives him a look so HY asks: why? did I say anything wrong?

J says it’s cuz he looks happy so he is envious

then he says he is going to bring down the mood

I fired yoon joo

like you asked me to watch over LS

I want to ask you to watch over Y

since you didnt hurt her- please take care of matters for her

HY says sorry but he cant do that cuz he might hurt Y more

sunah calls out to HY : LS’s Mr. P! we are out of beer

give us more beer

LS: he is not mr. P

sunah says he is

but LS says he isnt

HY: why are you looking forMr. P when there is Mr N. here

for running errands -call out for Mr. N

J complains saying let’s go by who has the most money

then he suggests rock paper scissors but HM takes the fruit plate and tells J to follow with the beer

K picks up a phone and finds something called “ya-seol”

which sounds like word for “racy books” in korean

K says : what is ya seol?

Min is making mong jr drink beer

all of a sudden everyone is interested in what K just said

HY announces he brought fresh fruit

HY tries to reach for his phone but K moves back

saying noona is on it -why is noona on this?

mong jr tries to prevent HY from getting to the phone

and gets his head locked by HY

LS asks is that really me?

K puts it on the TV

it is LS’s introduction video

HY must have had it on his phone

everyone points at HY and laughs

LS asks why HYcarried it around on his phone

they wonder why this is called something racy

J says to HY: is that ya seol? the way you see it -is it racy?

mong jr says “pervert”

LS looks embarrassed

they all laugh

HY gets all cute and says she looks pretty though

they all cheer to “ya seol”

next morning LS comes down

K made soup for everyone cuz they all drank too much last night

he had brought all the ingredients to make it the best tasting soup

K tells her since she had things that bothered her these days-for her to eat this and feel better

she says she knows someone who needs to feel better

so it was a good thing K made it and she thanks K

J comes down and says good morning and asks what smells so good

LS tells him what K made

she says she will go wake everyone

but J says HY left early in the morning for seoul

and told J to tell her that HY couldnt say bye

LS says oh he left

YC comes running down saying how could you tell me now

and she hurries LS over to watch the news

HY is on the news

he says he is here not as a diplomat but as daehan groups chairman’s grandson

he says everyone is going to hear some shocking truth today

omg this is the hardest speech to translate EVER 

that daehan was built on the royal treasury

how his grandfather – for years – was plagued by what happened

 and that he decided to give away his entire fortune as a result

LS and J run to the car to go to HY

chairma watches and asks why HY is doing this

HY tells stuff like about how his dad was against the restoration

how his dad put LS into the orphanage

how his grandpa felt guilty for playing a part in her dad’s death so he gave away his fortune

he says he is ashamed of what his family did

in the last part he asks everyone in korea to protect and take care of the princess and bows

reporters go nuts

Y watched it and got all emotional

LS saw it in the car on her phone

she keeps saying he is crazy

J says from where PHY stood – that was the best he could do

she cries and says what should i do about him

J suggests going to the hospital cuz that is where HY would go

HY is about to go in chairman’s room

LS runs up

LS asks why he did it

he says he couldnt think of anything better than this

she says he should have told her in advance -that there was time for that

he says if he had told her in advance- then she wouldve told him not to do it

she says  how could a person do that

why did you -why?

when there is nothing i can do

so what should i do

he says: i caused trouble so i have to see grandpa

i’m going to get scolded a lot

so go home

i’ll call you

HY tells chairman he is sorry

G leaves them alone to see the doc

Hy repeats he is sorry

for making his grandpa a criminal (someone at fault)

chairman says he did well- I couldnt tell everyone with my own lips

becaused of you i can put down my burdens in my heart

HY: grandpa

chairman: because you were born with my bloodline

you had a difficult time

he says something about how much HY had to endure

your dad too

Hae young ah-even though i hate your dad

you dont do that

the person who is responsible for lee hans death is not your dad but me

from the start it was me who (I dont know this)

since i didnt think about how that person had to keep running away

so I was at fault then too

because i couldnt control your dad – i am at fault

i’m sorry

all that time -for being too hard  on your dad

all those sins got pushed down

Y goes up to LS

Y: in the end -this is what you turned him into

how could you turn him into this

he pulled out all the wrongdoings of his grandfather and father

in front of the whole country

who are you to destroy one person’s life to this extent?

after doing that

with a look on your face that you’ve been wronged?

in other people’s eyes he grew up pampered

but he grew up lonely and hurt

i’m saying you are not the only person who was hurt

HY nods his head and says he can and tells his grandpa not

to talk too much cuz it will put a strain on him

so he should rest

chairman says he is tired

it was a difficult few days ( or he might have said hard life-cant tell)

HY: grandfather – are you okay?

chairman: i’m ok – i think i better get some sleep

oh crap- he dies!!!!

Hy keeps yelling grandfather

then he calls for help -telling them to come quickly cuz something is wrong with his grandfather

Y keeps yelling at LS

Y: if you were going to do that

why didnt you do it

why did you borrow oppa’s mouth?

you should have said HY’s dad killed your father with your own lips

why did you make HY oppa say that-why?

do you feel better now that you got the person (?)

to kneel before you

and receive his apology?

when you left the palace you were so confident

did you plan it out to stand here

if you werent around

none of this would have happened

if  you didnt show up

HY oppa would not be hurt

the chairman would not have collapsed

I wouldnt have had to use my energy

doc,nurse , and G come running

Y calls out : dad what is going on?

HY keeps calling out grandpa

doctor says he has passed away

G says: chairman

Y calls out chairman and runs closer to him

HY keeps asking his grandpa to open his eyes

grandfather -how can you just go like this?!

G cries

LS cries

Y cries too

HY cries the most

*and my heart breaks

cuz no matter how much he fought with his grandpa

they loved each other thru it all

for his grandpa to be so nice to him like this and pass away

right when they have reconciled must be heart breaking for HY

they barely said any kind words to each other till right now

and for HY – he not only lost his grandfather but the only father figure he had as well

reporter yoo reports on chairman’s death

HY takes chairman’s ash to some cliff

J, Y, G, LS are all there

G says it was the chairman’s wish for them not to put him in a sepulcher or mausoleum

as he scatters the chairman’s ash, HY cries and says

grandfather I didnt get to ask you to forgive me

how could you go like this

i was wrong – I was wrong grandpa

forgive me

G tells Y to go

only LS and HY are left behind

Y calls HY’s dad

she says she will make sure he can come into korea

not to worry and that HY will like that too

SW meets with Y

SW: a really bright star has been put out

he says he only left money at the wake

and left cuz everyone seemed too busy

she thanks him for coming

he says of course he had to go

during all this time he imposed on the chairman at times

and there would be some more in the future

he asks what HY willl do now

he asks about the fortune

she said she came cuz of that

and to ask for a favor

she asks SW to lift the ban on flight restriction for someone

SW: who is it for this time?

Y: when he comes into korea- it is someone who will (did she say kill?) daehan group

he guesses it is HY’s dad

someone knocks

HY interrrupts and comes in

SW welcomes HY and tells him to sit

SW says HY had a lot of heartache

HY says he got better cuz SW worried for him

SW says since the chairman lived for 89 yrs…

she says HY should have rested some more

HY says he went looking for her at the museum cuz he had something to settle with her

he guessed she would be here and here she is

she says she came to thank SW for coming to the wake

HY tells SW to accept her thanks

and not do her any other favors she might have asked

SW claims she wouldnt have any favors to ask of him

HY: that is good then

she says HY must be misunderstanding something

HY: i am not mistaken

I know exactly what you are thinking

but dont do it

if you are doing something for my sake

dont do it

if you think it is for your sake

that is a mistake

HY leaves  first saying he has an appt

SW tells him to drive safely

LS is at the pension

her mom comes home

her mom asks what she is doing just lying around

she tells her to clean her room

she says she has no energy

J comes to see her

she asks why he came

he says cuz he wanted to see her (missed her)

but she says he is lying

he says her reaction is not like it used to be

she asked if something happened

J: it’s nothing like that

he gives her the real satchet

that is why he came

to give it to her

he promised the chairman that he would give it to the real princess

and to take her back to palace

even if she doesnt go back to the palace

the truth that wont change is that she is the princess

that she really is her father’s daughter

LS meets HY

he comes and asks if she waited long

she says no and asks how he feels

he says it doesnt seem real yet

he gives her a present

LS: you are giving me a plant?

HY: no -flowers

it’s a flower present

LS: this is?

HY: grow it

flowers will bloom there

LS: what kind of flower?

HY: i dont know either

you have to grow it to know

after you grow it

you tell me

what kind of flower i gave you as a present

LS: what kind of present is this?

HY; there are a few matters i have to settle here and there

so for the time being it will be hard to reach me

so dont worry too much if you cant reach me

grow this and wait

so time will go by quickly

LS: what kind of matters? how long will it take?

HY: before the flowers bloom

i will be back

also i have a favor

go back to the palace

no matter how much i think about it

the place you need to be is there

HY meets with a lawyer about the daehan fortune

crap lawyer terms i dont get-

the rest might as well have been chinese

only thing i got was that HY’s dad had to give up rights

so the chairman’s wish to donate the fortune can go thru

and the lawyer gives HY the documents that needs to be signed

* so basically this is why HY had to go see his dad

LS tries to call HY but cant reach him

LS looks at the plant HY gave her

she narrates as she texts

I am growing a plant

when i dont know what kind of flower will bloom

he has given me excitement and frustration

she goes to the cliff to see chairman

and puts a flower on the rock

LS: chairman

have you been well?

I havent

cuz i need to make  some choice

during that time I was too overwhelmed

and made many excuses

you found my father and me

i didnt get to thank you even once

im really sorry

and also – thank you very much

from now on i wont run away

so where ever you are

please watch over me

she goes back to the palace

her staff greets her

she asks if they were well while she was gone

only K answers yes loudly

they all clap

she goes to her room with her plant

she asks YC

while she was gone did Y resign

YC says they can say resign but it was more like forced to quit (or fired)

LS asks where Y is  now

Y is at her museum

LS goes with her staff there

Y asks what are you doing here?

LS makes everyone leave

LS: you are surprised huh

you thought i would be crying somewhere

but i showed up here looking perfectly normal

Y: just get to the point

LS:you remember what i said right

that if i come back you are dead

i came back to the palace

LS calls Y by her title

this is the last time i will refer to you like that

cuz in the future I wont need to call you

oh yoon joo – from this minute on

you are fired from the HYmuseum

empty your office immediately

Y says : listen to me carefully

the chairman left me this museum himself

I’m saying someone like you

someone who doesnt know anything

cant play around and tell me what to do

do you hear me?

LS says :it may have been like that up to yesterday

but from today on

something happened where I can play around

she says how the museum is under the control of the palace from today on

that the palace is in charge of the museum management

the person who is going to be in charge

I’m going to choose myself

so get out of my palace

Y goes to her dad

she asks if he let this happen

he says if you are talking about the museum – you are right

she says the museum was her pride

it took a lot of my energy …

and she goes on to say what it meant to her in a more roundabout way

he points out she didnt get it thru effort

Y: it was my whole life and half of yours

the museum was my effort and yours

he says if it wasnt for the monarchy the chairman wouldnt have even built the museum

he says from the first it was for the monarchy

G gives her compensation and something the chairman left her

she says did the chairman want to give me this to get rid of me

he says she is speaking too harshly and says he got her a position (somewhere i dont know)

her new staff greets her but she looks miserable

J is there too

some ideas she has

something about korean traditional food

mong jr comes running and asks if she called for him

she says she cant reach HY so find out what is going on with HY and what he is doing

he says he left out of the country

LS: he left the country?

LS: i didnt

she yells that if something like that happened

she would have put a flight restriction on him

she asks where did he go-when is he coming- why did he go

mong jr says he doesnt know that

during her lesson with the teacher

he gives her their lesson curriculum

she looks over it and sighs

she says he did a good job but she doesnt like it

she says she will plan her own lesson schedule

so she does it herself

and makes an outrageous list of famous ppl she wants to learn from

she tells him to show her his ability

and get those ppl on the list and leaves

and remembers when HY pretended to teach her to drive

when they were caught by YC and OC

she mutters she should have learned to drive for real

her plant is growing

she starts narrating

where are you?

HY catches her in a hug before she can fall

he grins like crazy
