Rooftop Prince E6

I wonder when G will finally realize that he is using those dolls to make wishes for the wrong woman. What is it going to take for G to snap out of it and realize he is not in love with S – he is only in love with his memory of who he thought she was. The princess only showed her good image, but it was false and sooner or later he would have realized how he misjudged her. Now that he is here, he has the chance to find out how S was not a good person back then and her reincarnation is even worse. Instead of going after stunning roses that wilts and shows its dark colors so quickly, why not go after someone like H who is bright and sturdy like a daisy. All this time H was playing the role of Cyrano except she had no idea that the object of G’s affection was S. G really needs to stop acting like prince charming if he doesn’t want H to fall more in love with him. Judging from the look of disappointment on her face in the last scene, I think that ship may have sailed already. Only someone in the first stages of love would have looked as devastated as H. That is why I am hoping when G looked back at H, he was suddenly starting to realize that his mind was telling him to stay and check on S, but his heart just wanted to chase after H. All he needs to do is stop and think about which one of these women make him laugh so often and feel this good inside.

These are the rest of my fav scenes from tonight that I wanted to use for a main picture. There are so many to choose from now with that cute haircut. I don’t blame H for walking so proudly in the department store with the guys behind her. Sort of like a mother duck with her brood of asian men in black.

*OMG I almost busted a gut laughing when they played that game like on OB where for a few minutes you get to speak informally to someone who is older than you in banmal. for those 3 guys to talk like that to G was a riot. The look on G’s face when he asked for Y’s sword – priceless. 🙂

Even their previews are packed with fun and exciting stuff. Having a giant question mark as to which daughter Jang is here for leaves us in suspense. I wonder why the woman is looking for her daughter now after all these years. Actually a better twist would be if Jang is here for S. That would explain why S is so different from her current mother. *I was almost 100% certain I am right about this till i realized that Jang ate at the restaurant where H’s dad used to love. that must mean Jang is H’s mother.

E6 written preview: Park Ha teaches Lee Gak and the gang of 3, who will be working in Home & Shopping, important social skills. Sena is placed by Lee Gak’s side in order to assimilate him back into the company. Park Ha sees Sena run away for fear that her lies might be exposed when Tamu runs over her mum,and in her truck, starts getting angry when remembering Sena’s words about pretending not to know her

G and H walk back towards the rooftop home and the 3 guys come and meet her too. They all meet on the street and she checks out their new hairstyles.

They go upstairs and her home is being renovated. G put her beach billboard up there too. Grandma comes up with S. she calls out TY. G: did you come grandmother.  H bows to her and says hello. S and G say hello to each other.  grandma says I came cuz I was curious what the rooftop home looks like. she asks what H’s name is and H replies. She thanks H for taking care of TY. She asks did you live here alone – what about other family. H says I have a mother but we live separately cuz of her business. Grandma asks S for the envelope. she says after the renovation H needs to fill the empty rooms with furniture and  gives H money. H says no I am not in a position to accept this but grandma says it’s cuz TY is going to use it so she is asking H to take care of it in grandma’s place. Grandma tells TY to start work tm morning as promised. G: yes.

H meets with S and S throws water on H’s face. S: shouldnt you be on a plane to America right now. H: sorry I didnt keep my promise but…S interrupts and says shut up – why so you can lie with that mouth again. H: I know you are angry but…S says don’t come close to me. S leaves her

The 3 guys go inside their new camper and clap. They see H coming. C asks where she went cuz we waited so long. H asks what this is. M says while the rooftop home is being renovated they got this to stay in. G shows his credit card cuz he bought this camper to stay in (also to serve as her truck so she can drive them around in it). Y gives her the keys and G says we have to go and get ready for work tm.

H takes them shopping at a department store. They all bought suits to wear and play with their new cell phones. they play with the touch screen and zoom in and out of the pics. they don sunglasses. Women swoon as they walk by.

The aunt goes to meet that man again-the guard with the dogs. his last name is Pyo so that is what I will call him.  Pyo was building a dog house when she arrived. (what in the world is the aunt wearing – she looks like a walking disco ball from the waist up)  She asks if he really thought she was dropping by all this time on her way to Onchon.  it’s the last time she is coming here so go back up to seoul with me. Pyo says no- that he lost too much of the company’s money so until the chairman forgives him herself he will stay here like a dog and just be a guard.  She yells back–what are you a recorder. why do you keep saying the same thing. you have to think about building a home for people to live in not build dog houses here. dont you realize I am living with the chairman now (cuz she has no other place to live) I am sick of dating in secret.  she sees her nephew’s car. why did he come here. what do I do. she hides in the dog house. T’s dad pulls up. he calls out Pyo’s former job title and then says that’s right, now you are just a guard. guard Pyo are you building a dog house? Pyo:didnt you learn how to greet people. when you meet after 2 yrs you are supposed to say it’s been a long time. T’s dad says so you are so great that you lost 100 yuk of the company money. Pyo almost hits him. T’s dad gives him paperwork and says the chairman wants Pyo to come back. he throws it on the ground and says dont expect too much. cuz the company needs guards too. After T’s dad leaves. The aunt says the chairman made a decision. are you going back to the company. He asks if some problem happened at the company. She says I forgot to tell you yet but TY said he would work at the company. Pyo: TY who disappeared and was missing came back? Pyo is shocked to hear that

T goes to meet the wealthy woman (H’s mom – he called her president Jang) with his dad. T’s dad mentions how he met her in hong kong and now he is seeing her here so it’s an honor. he introduces his son. T gives his name. she says nice to meet you. I heard a lot about you from your father. His dad says it’s been 15 yrs since she has been here so where should they take her first – is there somewhere she wants to go. she says I have somewhere I want to go so his dad gives her a car to use comfortably.she thanks him

Jang goes to see S’s mom and calls her unni. it’s been a long time but you still recognized me right away. S’s mom is shocked to see Jang. her mom says you shouldnt be here. I will pretend I didnt see you so hurry and go. Jang says I came to find my daughter. S’s mom says: how can you say that now after all this time. if you are human you shouldnt have come here. Jang says she will pay S’s mom plenty for compensation. S’s mom throws stuff at her and tells her to hurry and go. if you dont want to see us die, hurry and go.

*at first I thought Jang is here for S not H cuz the way S’s mom is reacting makes me think that. plus how could S’s mom know what H’s mom looks like if her photo was torn off. Jang was acting way too familiar with S’s mom so they must have known each other for a long time. Now I am no longer sure which daughter Jang came for.

H teaches the guys to order Americano when they go to café with coworkers and not look at anything else on the menu. she makes them repeat after her. M asks her to teach another item on the menu so she teaches them café latte. H: someone go and place the order. She tells them to take their sunglasses off cuz it’s making her see darkness. C offers to order the drinks –  3 americanos and 2 lattes and asks G for his credit card. C asked G politely so H says “wait a minute. you shouldnt do this. even if you were born 6 months apart, it should be hyung or a sunbae and if you are the same age, you should say someone “shi.” let’s reveal our ages now.  M offers to do that and says “I am the youngest. Y is the eldest by age. the prince and C are the same age. H asks how old Y is and he says 27. H holds out her hand and says “you are the same age as me. good to meet you friend.” Y gets up and shakes it. G doesnt look too happy about it. H says M is the maknae and G and Y are friends. and Y is the hyung. these guys are dongsangs and we are friends. H makes sure to look right at G as she says “I am your noona.” H: everything is settled then.  she gives Y a card and says get 5% discount with this membership card and get a size up. Y repeats it and says smiling: “yes noona”

*that means S is older than G since S is H’s unni.

H says to the guys: the most important thing about working in an office are the gatherings after work. she teaches the guys to eat Korean style bacon and to say cheers and one shot during office gatherings.

Then she teaches them about the second place to go -the singing room after the first stage which was drinking and eating bacon. She says how they need to know how to sing there cuz if they cant sing then they cant succeed. people who cant sing can do something they are good at. M asks if that means showing what you are good at. she says that’s correct. in place of singing you are showing what else you are good at. She shows them how to make impersonations. isnt it exactly the same? they dont get it and asks “what is” she does another impersonation but they don’t get it and aren’t amused

From outside the camper H watches the guys play with their cell phones. they clap again when they see something interesting.  G comes over and says: I have one thing to ask. H:what is it? He holds the dolls out and asks : how do you tie this when a man wants a woman’s affections/love? she shows that if you tie the man’s legs around the woman’s legs it means love will form.  He says ok and goes inside the camper

Pyo shows up with two dogs and stands outside the company. T’s dad pulls up and sees him. The dogs bark at him and scare T’s dad. Pyo says the dogs only bark when they see thieves. T’s dad orders the dogs to be removed. When T’s dad leaves, Pyo tells the dogs they did well

The 4 guys get dropped off by H at work. 3 of them wave bye to her but G doesn’t.

The 4 guys walk into the building. [Are M and C wearing eyeliner?] C asks some girls for their numbers and brags to some other girls that they have two more of these phones at home. T’s dad watches them with T and asks if those guys are with TY. T: yes father. his dad asks: are those guys normal? they seem crazy just like TY. T asks what the chairman’s reason is for calling Pyo back. his dad says dont pay attention to Pyo. I will make sure he cant do a thing.

every time G clears his throat, the other 3 get in line at attention. G: let’s go. a man is standing there with a sign and asks which one is TY. G says I am TY. The man tells G to go up to the chairman’s room but stops the other 3 to go the other way. G nods ok so the 3 bow to G and follow the man.

The man gives the guys a test and tells them not to be nervous. since they arent regular employees he needs to know their level. The test has simple English and common sense problems. he says he is from Seoul university and studied law. He starts the timer and tells them to begin. M goes through the pages while the other two play with the paper and pen

Grandma says she thinks G’s memory will come back and isnt worried.  she says to Pyo that she heard he almost became a professor of dogs (sarcastic way of saying he learned a lot about dogs by spending time with them)  Pyo says it would have been better if I had turned into a dog. when I think about the money the company lost cuz of me. but she says that’s enough of that. she says she called Pyo to help TY become a businessman. S comes inside. Chairman asks if TY’s friends who are going to work with TY- did their test results come out.  S says yes chairman – all 3 got zero percent. G smiles so Pyo asks why he is smiling. G says those 3 are the best at what they do. you cant test their abilities so easily. Chairman says then let’s wait and see. she asks TY to learn about the company cuz she is going to have someone assigned to him  so G says I think it would be good if secretary hong did that grandmother. she says that’s a good idea. she assigns S to help G and asks Pyo to look into what kind of abilities the 3 of the best people have. Pyo says he will

S is showing G around and explaining about the home shopping but G just stares at her. she says let’s go to the studio. she almost gets hit by a ladder so G pulls her into a hug to protect her. she thanks him. He asks doesnt it seem like you saw me somewhere before a long time ago. She smiles. He asks why she is smiling. She says no one uses that pick up line anymore these days. G: pick up line? she says what men use on women to get their attention. that line is old. let’s go to the call center next

The 3 guys follow Pyo to a restaurant. He tells them to go in and order while he makes a call and then go in. C tells the others this is the first stage (drinking) so M says let’s do well. Y: let’s put our lives on the line and do well. Pyo tells them to go in and order. M: yes. we are going in now. When the food and beer comes, C pours drinks and throws the foam soaked napkins on the window. Pyo asks what this is cuz they ordered alcohol with bibimpap as appetizers. C gives him a glass of beer and they all say cheers. M offers to pour this time. the guys make lame old men jokes that H taught them

At the singing room, M raps something weird. Y bends utensils with his thumb. They break sticks on Y while he shows his strength by bending metal and tearing a phone book.  Y says as long as they are with Pyo they can go anywhere. we love you.  The guys go overboard so Pyo yells at them to stop. turn off the music. Pyo: are you newly hired employees. is this how you behave if you are new.  He says they are behaving like old salary workers who have been in the business for over 20yrs . He scolds them saying they learned bad behavior somewhere. TY said you guys were the best so I put up with everything till now but I cant open my eyes anymore and watch this. do you know how much the employees hate it cuz you got in through nepotism. do you know how many young men there are out there who work so hard but cant get into this company. if you are working at the company to do stuff like this then quit right now instead of taking away someone else’s spot who deserves it.  If you are going to help TY behave well so that you dont have to hear you got in through nepotism and earn the respect of employees.  I know about dogs and you are are like dog food. you know what that means right. food that dogs eat. it means like dung. if you guys were born in joseon time you would have been slaves. he calls them piles of dung and leaves.

Jang meets with T’s dad and T. she thanks them for the meal. T’s dad explains as he cuts a cake in pieces to show how much shares everyone has in the company. if the whole cake was the company, the chairman has half the shares. the rest of the half is cut in two and he says half of that is his and his son’s and the rest Jang owns. so they want her to sell her shares to them so they can gain leverage (control) she asks what happens after. T says we want to sell the company. We told you our secret. We want to go to a bigger market.

H is appliance shopping and explains it isnt too soon – they have to buy now so it will be delivered by the time the rooftop home is done. G asks you could have come alone so why did you drag me along. H: you think someone wanted to and did it.  She shows a sign that says couples who are about to get married get 10% discounts. look around a lot of newlyweds are here.  So G offers his arm so they can look like a couple. She takes it hesitantly but sees something on sale for 50% off and runs off. G plays with a tv thinking it’s a touch screen like his cell phone pics.

H is looking at charm bracelets and G asks what are you doing. let’s go. he asks if women here like this. She says of course. women want to have all that. let’s go. G stares at the bracelet she was looking at

G doesn’t know how to use his fork to eat his pasta and asks if there arent any chopsticks cuz it’s too hard to eat noodles with this 3 prong spear. She tells him it’s not noodles, it’s called pasta and  shows him to how to use his spoon and fork.  He asks what men and women do to have fun in this era. She asks if he is talking about dates. H: They eat food at places like this and drink coffee. stuff like that. it’s all similar. He says tell me in more details. What would you do if it was you. H: if it was me? G: yes if it was you. H: ride bikes – couple bikes (tandem bikes). G: bikes? couple bikes?

She teaches him to ride a bike. how he should relax his arms. look straight ahead. lift your chin. go straight. He obeys and falls down. H: dont you hear my words. relax your arms. dont look at the ground and look straight ahead. how many times do I have to say that. G yells back: were you able to ride a bike from birth? H: do it again.

G orders her to hold on tight and dont let go. H: I am holding on – just look straight ahead. G: you cant let go. you have to hold on. she lets go of the bike.  she lies she held on as he rides away from her. he laughs like a kid and rides in circles around her.

Mimi is sketching M in his tracksuit for her cartoon. Becky comes in and says the rooftop guy called. mimi asks which one.  becky sees M’s cartoon and says that guy – M. mimi hides it and says it’s not M.

The 3 guys are at the office. C and Y are studying and M is playing with his phone. Y asks if M learned it all just by looking at it once. M: I said I did Y sunbae. C quizzes M by covering up a name and only showing the pic. M looks at the photo and gives the guy’s name and job title and which team he works on. C reads the info and is impressed. C remarks M has unusual eyes. C shows Y that M’s answer was correct. M gets a call and looks at the numer. M: it’s someone I dont know. hello?

M goes outside to meet her. she called him M oppa. he says I called becky so why did you come. She says becky left. mimi made him some food quickly with the rice she had and wonders how it will taste. He thanks her and says I will eat it well. she says give the first two to the other oppas and make sure you eat the one on bottom cuz I put a fried egg on top.

H goes to the camper with groceries and wonders why G isnt sick of omurice yet. She finds her doll and the legs are tied – to mean they are growing love. She finds a charm bracelet there too and remembers how G asked about that too -if women want that. she hears the shower stop so she prepares food. G comes out of the shower in a bathrobe. She tells him to wait a little and I will make you omurice soon. He suddenly puts a paper bag over her head. H says it startled her. G:  I am going to change clothes so stay like that. H: I wouldn’t look anyway even if you told me to. She says it feels stuffy and asks are you done changing. G: not yet. H: still? G: still not yet. He takes the bag off and gives her the bracelet and asks “will you accept it.” G holds up his dolls and says I really got my wish.

She daydreamed that whole scene while she had the bag over her head cuz suddenly she hears G asksing: what are you doing? H: is it still not yet? G: yes it’s still not yet. When she suddenly takes the bag away his face is close to hers and he has changed already. G pokes her head and says I said not yet. he accuses her of having improper thoughts in her head as if she wanted to see something. G says it’s too cramped here so I’ll eat outside. He leaves.

In the company lobby, the 3 guys greet each employee by name and says “we are new – please take care of us well.” Pyo and chairman watch that and smile impressed that the guys memorized every employee’s name

G goes with a bike and asks S to ride a couple bike. (tandem bike)  She doesn’t look happy and says if it’s not work related then…but he interrupts and says they could end up selling bikes on the home shopping and you said we need to know about the product well. she gets on the back.

G and S sit by the water. She avoids his gaze and asks him to hurry and speak if he has something to say cuz she feels like she is getting unwanted attention. G says there isnt any of that. she asks if he isnt going to question her. where do you live what do your parents do.  up to now according to what he has been doing, it’s obvious it’s time for the questioning.  but he says when you look at flowers you just enjoy looking at it’s beauty and arent curious about where the flower came from. G stand and says so this is what it feels like when your attention is not wanted.

S walks barefoot on the grass while G went to get drinks. He sees her sitting on the grass and smiles. He remembers the princess. G walks away.

she calls him and asks where he is now. G says I am leaving first. S: where are you – I will go there right away. G: no you just rest under the tree and leave work. for the first time I saw you look comfortable. I didn’t want to interrupt so dont worry. if you are thirsty look behind you. see you tm at the office. She turns and looks and there is a drink with the bracelet on it. (talk about G being a smooth operator)

S’s mom goes with H to her dad’s memorial. The mom says it’s already been 2 yrs since your father passed away. she says how good it would have been if S made some time and came with them. she says S is busy at work and asks H to understand. H: yes. The mom cries saying if H’s dad lived a few more days he could have seen H’s face before he died. how could he not hold on a few more days and just left like that. H says how the mother and father’s relationship must have been good. the mom says I dont have luck with men. while living with your father I thought I met a nice husband but he only lived a few years and now he is sitting in that picture. this is my luck. she tells H: your father was a good person.

As they sit, the mom shows H a picture of her dad, H, and her mom. H cries and asks: what is this. the mom says i think it’s right for you to have that picture so I brought it. H: is this child me? the mom says he said that picture was taken when you were one. next to you, the woman without the face is the one who gave birth to you. your dad never talked about your mom. how much she must have been a bad person for him to tear her face out of the picture. after taking that picture, without a word she left a few days later. your dad raised you alone when you were that young.  How awful your dad must have felt when he lost you when you were 9. if he got that illness it was probably at that time.  The mom says there was a tofu place your dad liked when he was alive -should we go eat there. H: yes mother -let’s go.

T meets his dad. T: I heard president jang was going back to hong kong. did she turn down our offer.  his dad says I dont know the details either cuz he couldnt reach her, but heard she is stopping by somewhere before she goes to the airport. we have to hurry and hold onto her for our plan to succeed. T: yes father.

T calls S and tells her to bring the paperwork he is going to ask for and come to where he is. I will tell you where in the car. it’s urgent so move quickly

Pyo drinks with the 4 guys. he calls refers to G as TY but he calls the other 3 piles of dung. Pyo says starting from tm they are going to start work officially. G: yes I heard from grandmother. Pyo pours drinks for the guys and says this is a real work gathering so they can stop being nervous and dont behave like last time and just be comfortable.  Another man tries to come and join them. He says the mood is lame and introduces a game called “ya ja time” to liven up the mood [game where you speak informally (banmal) to each other regardless of age within a certain amount of time, but it’s only fun for younger guys to speak that way to older guys cuz they never get a chance to be this rude otherwise. it’s a great stress reliever.]  M asks what ya ja time is so the man says: you dont know it? he suddenly speaks informally to pyo and says “move your ugly face away.” M and the others are shocked. the man turns on a timer for 3 mins of yaja time. start. C suddenly speaks down to Pyo “what are you looking at? ya Pyo put down your drink. from a while ago, you smelled like dogs.” Pyo says it’s cuz I raise dogs. M says “ya – then if you know – shower.” M asks the other man: isnt that right? C, M, and G laugh. Y pretends to be busy making a lettuce wrap.

G tells Y to say something. Y: I cant do it. M and them tell him to say something but Y leaves. they all laugh. suddenly C says to G: you are smiling. M pretends to stop C by saying “stop it” but M says “that guy is angry.” G is shocked to be called “that guy”. M shoves a lettuce wrap in G’s mouth  saying “oh did you get angry. eat this and get over your anger.” M shoves it in G’s mouth and says “aigo you eat well.” G is furious. C claps and M high fives C. the other man says yaja time is the best to enliven the mood. he asks Pyo: isnt that right you short jobless guy. Pyo says he is going to go and pay the check. pyo hits the guy on his way out.  the guy says the 3 mins is over. Y comes back and says to G: you are young and met good parents. (meaning G is younger and is acting so superior cuz G was born into a wealthy family) Y looks like he wants to throw his water at G so M runs over to Y and C says the game ended. Y almost cries cuz he feels bad. Y drops the water and the 3 sit down on their knees looking apologetic. G calls out Y’s name. Y says your majesty. G: what did you just say? all 3 say together: we committed a sin that deserves death. G orders M to bring Y’s sword. M: prince -you cant.

T asks where S is. S: I am almost there – i think will arrive there within ten mins.

H and the mom walk to the restaurant. H says the restaurant must be famous.  the mom says it was renovated but it’s really old. your father liked this place a lot. let’s go in. the mom says to just order tofu stew. Jang is there and S’s mom sees her and says let’s go to H. H looks at Jang and leaves

Outside S’s mom says hurry and come. She walks ahead of H. The mom didn’t look where she was going. T hits her with his car.  S shows up. H runs over and asks are you ok mother.  T asks if the mom is ok. S doesn’t move. T carries the mom and puts her in his car. H calls out to her but S doesn’t move. her voice says how she doesnt have a mother who sells fish at the market and that she will marry T no matter what. S turns around and walks away as H keeps calling out “unni.” Then H suddenly remembers what happened to her as a kid. How young S had walked away and the truck she was inside crashed and H was in that car accident. Inside T’s car, she looks back and seems angry

T and H rush S’s mom to the hospital. Doctor says CAT scans and MRI scans shows nothing strange and nothing serious was injured, but they have to check after she wakes up to be sure. T says to H: I am so sorry I dont know what to say. H says thank goodness there wasnt any serious injury. He says sorry again and offers to do his best to help the mom recover.

H sits alone and remembers how young S had turned away from her. H now remembers being abandoned and the car accident

S is by the river. She looks at her phone when she gets a call. it’s from H.

H goes out and meets S. H: where should we talk- should we talk here. S: follow me. S takes her to the studio.

S: is mom ok? H: are you even worried? Are you human? even when the mother who gave birth to you collapsed in front of your eyes, cuz you were afaid you would be caught in the lie you told so you act like you don’t know her -is that what a person does. S: what do you think you know to say that. H: ok if you want it that much I will do as you want. we are not related by blood at all so we arent family. from here on you are not my sister. should i tell you the reason why I changed my mind. that I got adopted and went to america, even though I was 9 yrs old, it was cuz I didn’t know my address or my parents. all of that was cuz I lost my memory in that truck accident.  flashback to accident.

H: That truck accident was at daegu. I lived in seoul so why was I rescued in daegu. even when the truck took me away, you acted like you didnt know me and turned the other way. it was cuz of you cuz you didnt stop the truck. even when I called out to you that much, you ignored me like today. even when mom was hit by the car and collapsed, you didnt do anything and turned your back to her  like you did today. were you that afraid that others would know your true colors? S slaps H. S: what do you know. H slaps her back. H: I will no longer forgive you now.  When S tries to hit her again, H holds her wrist and the bracelet G gave S falls off. H sees it and leaves crying

Outside the studio, G runs into H. G asks what brings her here.  if she came to pick him up cuz he got off work. She keeps walking. S comes out and he looks at S then back towards the direction where H left. G looks conflicted.

No preview just lots of cartoons of the guys.

I really hope G is good at math. one girl walks out crying like her heart has been broken. the other girl looks guilty. add the clues together. who is the victim here. it will take more than a beach billboard, home renovation, whip cream, and soju to break through the pain H is feeling now. She expected betrayal from someone like S,but she never saw it coming from G. getting blindsided like that is going to knock the wind out of H for a while. I hope G has it in him to weather this out and help H see rainbows again.

I’ve come to the conclusion that no matter what the boys wear and how they look, it just seems to amplify how ridiculous they are. When they wore those tracksuits with their joseon hair they looked absurd, but now that they look fantastic they’re just as funny because their behavior is in such sharp contrast. I wish that every scene could include those three. Y’s deadpan heart dance at the noraebang almost had me in tears (the magic is in those details).

I was actually relieved when H slapped S. Finally! It’s sort of a shame that she had to get her memory back before she was willing to do so. H is the paragon of patience and understanding; who else would take water in the face so well? Especially when it’s so unjustified? S is all kinds of crazy, and I never fail to be astonished at just how plain mean she can be. I do like that S isn’t the dark and brooding “evil” type though. She seems to have simple moments of happiness like everyone else (like when she’s working, or just going out for lunch).

I wonder if G really understands credit cards, or if he just think he magically gets whatever he wants with one. I’m sure that as a Joseon king he probably has a terrible sense of money in the first place, and even though he’s rich as TY, it seems very possible that he may go overboard. Spending willy-nilly certainly seems to suit him better than manual labor did, and it’s sort of refreshing that this drama hasn’t taken the typical tact of putting him in a poor situation where he has to learn about life. I quite like those stories and think they impart a nice message, but we’ve all seen that before. Instead our prince is kind of like a prince again, but there is still plenty of opportunity for him to grow and stretch himself as a person.

Surprisingly, G is quite the smooth operator when it comes to romancing S, although I’m a bit surprised that she’s so fine hanging out with someone who she should probably view as a creepy stalker. I suppose she’s probably motivated by his new status as heir, but it does seem like she’ll end up genuinely liking him too. That could be a scary thing. Who knows what she’ll do to H then!

New characters have been added to the mix, and I’m still puzzling out how I think they’ll fit into the story. It seems like the guard may just fill the role of mentor to the boys, and that H’s mom will affect the status of the company. I’m guessing that at some point G will have to fight to save the company and go head-to-head with T more directly. Story-wise, I’m sure that the wealthy lady is H’s mom for a reason, so H will surely get dragged into the chaos too. Maybe she’ll become an enemy of the family, and the grandma won’t want G to see her anymore?

I love that the plot is moving along so quickly with lots of peppiness and fun along the way. I hope that more BTS video is released because I bet it’s hilarious watching J4 try to keep it together. How they don’t burst out laughing constantly is beyond me!

*so now I’m thinking that H isn’t the daughter of that rich lady…I guess I’ll have to come up with some new theories next week!
