omg this drama never fails to deliver, but I have so many questions. I know I should get everything since I translated, but I dont understand these characters’ motivations for their actions. I have the same questions as you guys. why did W let M go on that spending spree for her? why is choi yelling at the grandma to bring his son M back-doesnt choi realize that J is M just from the picture? why is T wanting to keep her divorce a secret from M? the reason she gave D doesnt make sense. and why does W not think it’s bizarre that Nam looks like her mom? it’s like ignoring the giant pink elephant in the room that is taking up all the space. I need another kissing scene between D and W to make up for all this confusion 🙂

after D watches the kiss and cries, W gets up and M apologizes. she says : no it’s … but M suddenly hugs her. M looks up and sees D. D runs away and M keeps hugging her more and cries a lot. D goes home in a daze, running and crying. he doesnt hear the car behind him honking at him. the driver gets out and asks if D wants to die. D keeps saying sorry to the guy.
M is still crying. M: i dont know how this happened-W-i dont know anything. he cries more and she pats his back as he hugs her and cries. she tells him not to cry. he cries more
D is at home holding his hackysack.
choi looks at a sketch of M.
M goes to D’s home. he stands outside and then the lights come on so he goes in. he gets a beer out of the friege and asks if D wants to drink one too. D takes it away saying M is drunk and to stop drinking. M takes it back saying he isnt drunk. D insists M is drunk. M says he is ok and D yells out “hyung” and they drop it. M tells him to go cuz he will get hurt cuz there are lots of shards of glass but D is already collecting them, not able to hear. M grabs his hand saying he will get hurt and D cuts himself. M takes his hand asks if D is ok- I told you to be careful.
M tells him to go and he will clean it up then tend to his wound.
D says M is drunk and he will do it.
M says he isnt drunk at all-I told you she was not my younger sister.
D:hyung
M: she is not related to me at all. I’m being honest- I like W.

M: I am jang Junha. your older brother jang junha
M stands and tells him not to let it get scarred and tells him to treat his cut and sleep
W delivers milk (one choco and one milk). she wonders if D already left for work. Y calls her over
she tells Y that she was sad yesterday but now that she is going with Y she feels good. he says he missed his mom yesterday but now that he is with W he feels better. she asks what he thought of doing for the grandma to think of him when she sees him. Y suddenly yells “dont do that” and runs
Y goes over and yells at nam who is writing on the map again. Y to nam: why are you always doodling on this when I am already mad cuz my mom isnt here. Nam waves her finger around: what did I saywas in front of you- say that again. Y says he doesnt want to and sticks his tongue out at her
Nam finally takes off her sunglasses and yells “ya”
W tells Y :dad – she looks the same as mom
Y corrects her and says: woori yah- she isnt the same – she seems like “thuck” (white-pale skin)
like she has flour on her face – isnt she like “thuck”?
nam yells at Y:what kind of being are you?
Y bows and says hello -giving his name and that he works at the botanical garden
W explains to nam that Y is her dad.
nam is upset and says to W: i didnt ask you- you (come here she motions)
W tells her dad to wait there
W goes to Nam
Y bows to nam:goodbye “one who (?) cuz she loves” (cant hear that one word)
nam tells W to come somewhere by noon
nam tells W not to follow cuz she wants to be alone

D gives her some coffee and asks what she thinks about the product. she says she likes it cuz it’s not sticky-cuz sticky stuff-whether it’s objects or ppl- i cant stand it. D smiles and says he thinks the same way. she apologizes for not meeting him before when he wanted to-it’s cuz she hates complicated things. he says that’s the same as him too.
she talks about her payment -earning as much as she works and wants to personally choose who works under her. it’s not cuz she is trying to fight him on who is in charge, it’s just that she hates wasting precious time. D agrees
she asks for him to change the workshop concept-life change academy-changing your lifes along with energy cell-she cant accept it – cuz makeup doesnt change a life (maybe she needs to watch what is going on in Romance Town) . D agrees -what else? Nam says she is thinking of scouting someone to work under her. MS comes in and says Nam came- you decided to work with us-that’s so great.if i had known, i would have made more sandwiches. I only brought enough for my boss. D says no thanks to MS and tells nam to discuss the workshop with MS and says he will talk to nam more later. D tells MS that he is leaving. after he leaves, MS says she wanted to feed him and didnt even sleep. nam: i hate when things get complicated. she tells MS not to be good to a guy. the sandwich wont get hurt, but you will.
M comes down complaining of a headache. T brings him a drink asking why he drank so much. he takes the drink saying he is dying. she asks who he drank with. M: alone- since the conference was canceled and there was nothing to do so i went to a street vendor. it was nice- we should go togther some time. she asks him to talk with her.
choi asks M to go for a walk. choi says he thinks D wants to fight him to take over his position as president. he is making his heart go first so he is holding the knife backwards and only cutting off his own lifeline. choi asks why M left like that the other day. M says they finished talking about the contract so what else was there to discuss. choi asks if M got all he wanted from him. since you were close to D- since you let go of his hand and came to me-you didnt think of ending it here did you?
M says choi got it wrong. since M used the line with choi that’s all he needed.
M says he wants to help D for real now. M: I never said I let go of D’s hand, that is just what you thought. choi asks if M is really jang’s son cuz M isnt like him at all-not his personality or looks. M asks if choi knows his dad well. choi says he met jang a few times before D’s grandfather passed away. M says even he doesnt know his dad well so choi is impressive for figuring out who his dad is after meeting him only a few times. choi almost falls so M catches him and tells him to be careful and asks if he is ok. choi thanks him. choi says it’s nice to walk and tells M to make this a regular thing
Y shows everyone the letter he wrote for his mom-he tells W to give it to his mom when W goes to seoul. Y explains that if his mom hurries home, he wrote that he would do “da” =everything
make delicious rice-massge her legs so they dont hurt- and sing impressively
NB’s wife says it sounds poetic. with the one word “everything” Y showed everything that is in his heart. NB yells for SC to bring the food. he comes with four different fried chickens. SC tells W to taste everything. SC brags and says this is just a taste and that he learned 1,000 chicken recipes so to eat all that, they have to eat breakfast for the rest of their lives. W asks how they can eat chicken for breakfast. SC’s mom asks what he means by lifetime of breakfasts and her husband says to leave it alone. SC is already in the past -cuz someone came- there wont be a huge difference. as long as that person is here, we dont need to be concerned. SC makes a face and asks what that means. SC mouths something to W about something together. his dad says there is too much chicken and asks Y if they should give some to D. Y agrees to take it but NB’s wife tells them to invite D over. she tells W to call and says she misses D cuz she hadnt seen him. SC gets mad hearing D’s name and W chokes on her chicken.
SC pushes W into her room to talk. she tries to get him to go out of her room. SC yells at W for bringing D home-is she in her right mind. she tells him to be quiet cuz Y doesnt know that D is WK’s son. SC asks what she is doing – deceiving Y-what does she plan to do. she explains how D got her dad’s job back. he is good to dad and dad likes D too. SC:what about you? let’s just say for now that Y doesnt know that D is WK-but what about you? you said you were duped by him and got mad and worried about how to pay him back -it hasnt been that long since that happened. he was paid off so it should end. there shouldnt be a reason to meet him again. why are you getting involved again? she tries to explain. SC asks if she forgot that D was her mom’s enemy. W says even tho that person (D) is WK’s president’s son- he isnt (the enemy). SC:that person? she says it’s complicated and will explain later, but SC wants her to explain now. SC: dont say it in a complicated way and just simply. she says it’s true that D’s dad is WK’s president, but D isnt a bad person. he is having a hard time cuz of his dad. SC tells her again to state it simply. she was going to say she liked D but SC stops her and says it’s ok. he says she is sweet so since D is nice to Y, she is doing that cuz she is thankful to D but that grateful feeling you have- end it here. he tells her to go out cuz of the food.
W goes to D’s office and hears D’s voice. she puts on lipstick. M comes out and seems surprised to see her here. she asks if he feels ok and suggest he eat noodles for his hangover. he asks her to go eat that with him later. she says she will keep being busy. M: is it cuz you think I might ask you to buy it for me again? W:that’s not it. he says it’s ok he doesnt need to eat that. I wasnt drunk yesterday- I was fine.
W:what? M: let’s go in. she mutters that he was drunk. M: dont ever say again that I resemble your brother. I am not your brother.
D is showing a demonstration video for how to put on his makeup to Nam. S gives her opinion-to use someone who looks above average-the person who is selling it has to be pretty to make ppl want to buy the makeup. nam agrees and looks at S saying S is pretty. Nam tells D to just focus on the product and says she is going to take responsibility for S’s position. S yells that that is her job. nam says S is too pretty and it’s a waste to sit her behind a desk and tells S to leave. MS stifles a laugh and says to S that even when they see her- S has a look that is a waste. D says nam is going to take over S’s positiona and tells S to do something else that needs a decision. S is irate. D asks nam to do a good job and leaves, but watches M and W walk in together.W smiles at D but D goes away. W greets MS and nam. S asks what W is doing there. nam says to S: I called her. do you have a problem with it? W starts to say that Nam really looks like her mom but Nam stops her midsentence telling W not to even say “mo (ther)” saying that she hates that word meaning the most. S yells at W that S is already peeved with ppl here and tells W not to hang around too and go feed the grandma. Nam yells “ya!”at S and startles S.
M hears that from the office, but D didnt and tells M to hurry and say what he wants cuz D has to leave. M tells D that he can use the factory as soon as they do checkups for it. D says that’s good and asks what else M has to say. M:how is your hand? D: it’s ok. M: let’s eat before you go. I came to eat with you. D: you should have told me sooner, I have to leave now.
D comes out and realizes the fight between nam and S.
Nam: who do you think you are to tell my guest to come and go
S speaks down to nam:how dare you speak informally to me -how old are you
MS tells S that this is an office-if she is going to fight go out and do it
W asks S: aunt – please stop
S turns on W: it’s cuz of you-i told you to go feed grandma so why are you still sticking around
W:i will go but since I made an appt to come I have to listen to what she wants to say and go
S: who said you could talk back
she says she will text her the housecode and tells her to hurry and leave.
Nam tells W and MS not to pay attention to S anymore and waves for them to follow her
but S stops Nam and pulls her back

S:what? what did you say?
nam repeats the word mistress but adds something else to it and says I have a lot of things to do so dont add insult to it- i hate going to the police station

S tries to attack nam so W hugs S to block her
S yells at W not to call her aunt
D starts to step in but M gets there first

S looks at M and says :doctor jang
M tells W to come out so he can give her a ride

W looks at D then at M
she says that she came to meet nam so it’s ok

W realizes she drank all her water so M calls the waiter over. D gives her his water. MS asks why D is giving the water he drank to W. D takes it back: forget it if you dont want to. W asks how:what’s wrong with your hand-did you hurt it?.MS takes his hand and asks if D hurt it. I didnt see it- why (did you hurt it). D takes her hand away and asks W: nam wants you to work with her -are you thinking of coming in to energy cell and working? M answers for her: she isnt going to – she said she liked selling cars the most. even if money dropped from the sky, she said she would still sell cars. he looks at W: didnt you? D says he asked W.
D to W : do you not want to come work next to me?
M to D: why are you suddenly talking about work while we are eating

T calls choi’s secretary and asks if he couldnt contact doctor jang yet. she tells him to find jang somehow and tell him to come to korea and meet her. she asks to just let her get in contact with jang. she asks if choi said anything after seeing the sketch. MS calls her so T says she will call back later
MS comes and says T came quickly. T says she waited 30 mins. MS says she went to eat with D on a date and grabs his arm. T says she feels sad- is that why D didnt call his mom at all. D takes MS’s hand off his arm. D says to T: employees are uncomfortable so stop dropping by.T says she came to meet D cuz she has something to say to him. D says he doesnt have time to talk to his mom. T holds his arm so he cant go and whispers that it will only take a minute and that choi wants a divorce
T says that she knew this would happen but it’s coming faster than she thought and she feels hurt and shocked. on top of that- the other person is S. D asks what his mom thinks cuz it doesnt matter to him. T explains that even if she won the divorce battle, if she takes her foot away from WK-it will be hard to get back to that place. how she was patient all this time and endured everything. she cant believe choi would send S to D’s office-that choi is not even human. D: what do you want me to do? T asks D to keep this a secret from J-i’m not asking you to deceive him-if he knows too, I will be too humiliated. T cries and D hugs her
at S’s home, grandma is putting bread she hid her in bag and putting it in W’s backpack. grandma says she feels better now that she has eaten W’s food. W takes the grandma her medicine. she reminds her not to forget to take it even for a day. grandma says she knows and will eat it and tells W to take all this to Y. W asks what all that is and grandma explains how S doesnt like to cook so everytime she leaves, she throws her mom those bread. it’s expensive so she tells W to eat it only with her dad.
W asks grandma to leave with her but she wont. grandma says she likes it here better. make sure you go and tell your dad that now grandma doesnt need to eat food anymore cuz she I am full just looking at what Y drew. grandma says how proud she is-look at how he wrote the letters- he is so smart. now that i think about it- M was smart cuz he took after Y. W: grandma -if you are not going home cuz of M, I will find him. grandma asks where W is going to find M. W shows the grandma the sketch of M. this is M isnt he? grandma asks how W has it.grandma holds the pic and cries saying my baby. M rides the cable car thinking about how W said she liked M more than D and smiles.

D clasps his fingers around her hand and says it hurts less now since he is doing this. D leans and saying: but right now, I still like J a little more than you. So try harder. you’re so unattractive. (he meant it jokingly and lovingly). she turns her head to cry and asks him to dance with her. he says he cant dance. W:then why did you come here? D:that’s cuz….W: so you can confirm that I am unattractive? D:that’s another reason…W:let’s confirm if you can move your body. she drags him out to the floor, but he keeps saying he cant dance

M goes to meet W. he says she looks like a different person cuz she changed her bag. what brings you all the way here? W: i came to collect debts. I bought you food twice.M:yesterday you said you didnt want me to take you home so why did you show up as a debt collector. W:should I go? M: no -this way-let’s go. he pushes her from behind. he takes her to his car and puts her seatbelt on telling her to hold on tight cuz he is going to go fast.he asks what she wants to eat, but W says instead of food she wants him to buy her something else. he says she must have found out that he has a lot of money.
M:what should I buy you? W:whatever M:let’s go-wherever
M bought her a new outfit. omg is that a chanel bag? M is holding shopping bags and says the bag in the window is pretty. W points to herself and what she is carrying and the shopping bags he is holding and says:these are a lot too. M says there is more inside and takes her in. he says the beige one is pretty but she chooses a backpack. he asks if she wants to be a turtle again (LOL cuz of her red backpack that looks like a turtle shell). she says she likes it so he says this bag (backpack) will be good for when they ride the cable car and asks what else she wants. she asks if she can buy both bags and he says of course. she asks for the watch back-his prescription and holds out her hand. M:you said you didnt need it-that you wouldnt forget your brother. W:I was going to do that, but I just cant do it. I got that illness back. she cries and says: doctor jang junha – I am not going to find my brother M.

I have the same questions as you guys. why did W let M go on that spending spree for her? why is choi yelling at the grandma to bring his son M back-doesnt choi realize that J is M just from the picture? why is T wanting to keep her divorce a secret from M? the reason she gave D doesnt make sense. and why does W not think it’s bizarre that Nam looks like her mom? it’s like ignoring the giant pink elephant in the room that is taking up all the space. I need another kissing scene between D and W to make up for all this confusion 🙂

after D watches the kiss and cries, W gets up and M apologizes. she says : no it’s … but M suddenly hugs her. M looks up and sees D. D runs away and M keeps hugging her more and cries a lot. D goes home in a daze, running and crying. he doesnt hear the car behind him honking at him. the driver gets out and asks if D wants to die. D keeps saying sorry to the guy.
M is still crying. M: i dont know how this happened-W-i dont know anything. he cries more and she pats his back as he hugs her and cries. she tells him not to cry. he cries more
D is at home holding his hackysack.
choi looks at a sketch of M.
M goes to D’s home. he stands outside and then the lights come on so he goes in. he gets a beer out of the friege and asks if D wants to drink one too. D takes it away saying M is drunk and to stop drinking. M takes it back saying he isnt drunk. D insists M is drunk. M says he is ok and D yells out “hyung” and they drop it. M tells him to go cuz he will get hurt cuz there are lots of shards of glass but D is already collecting them, not able to hear. M grabs his hand saying he will get hurt and D cuts himself. M takes his hand asks if D is ok- I told you to be careful.
M tells him to go and he will clean it up then tend to his wound.
D says M is drunk and he will do it.
M says he isnt drunk at all-I told you she was not my younger sister.

she tells Y that she was sad yesterday but now that she is going with Y she feels good. he says he missed his mom yesterday but now that he is with W he feels better. she asks what he thought of doing for the grandma to think of him when she sees him. Y suddenly yells “dont do that” and runs
Y goes over and yells at nam who is writing on the map again. Y to nam: why are you always doodling on this when I am already mad cuz my mom isnt here. Nam waves her finger around: what did I saywas in front of you- say that again. Y says he doesnt want to and sticks his tongue out at her
Nam finally takes off her sunglasses and yells “ya”
W tells Y :dad – she looks the same as mom
Y corrects her and says: woori yah- she isnt the same – she seems like “thuck” (white-pale skin)

D gives her some coffee and asks what she thinks about the product. she says she likes it cuz it’s not sticky-cuz sticky stuff-whether it’s objects or ppl- i cant stand it. D smiles and says he thinks the same way. she apologizes for not meeting him before when he wanted to-it’s cuz she hates complicated things. he says that’s the same as him too.
she talks about her payment -earning as much as she works and wants to personally choose who works under her. it’s not cuz she is trying to fight him on who is in charge, it’s just that she hates wasting precious time. D agrees
she asks for him to change the workshop concept-life change academy-changing your lifes along with energy cell-she cant accept it – cuz makeup doesnt change a life (maybe she needs to watch what is going on in Romance Town) . D agrees -what else? Nam says she is thinking of scouting someone to work under her. MS comes in and says Nam came- you decided to work with us-that’s so great.if i had known, i would have made more sandwiches. I only brought enough for my boss. D says no thanks to MS and tells nam to discuss the workshop with MS and says he will talk to nam more later. D tells MS that he is leaving. after he leaves, MS says she wanted to feed him and didnt even sleep. nam: i hate when things get complicated. she tells MS not to be good to a guy. the sandwich wont get hurt, but you will.
M comes down complaining of a headache. T brings him a drink asking why he drank so much. he takes the drink saying he is dying. she asks who he drank with. M: alone- since the conference was canceled and there was nothing to do so i went to a street vendor. it was nice- we should go togther some time. she asks him to talk with her.
choi asks M to go for a walk. choi says he thinks D wants to fight him to take over his position as president. he is making his heart go first so he is holding the knife backwards and only cutting off his own lifeline. choi asks why M left like that the other day. M says they finished talking about the contract so what else was there to discuss. choi asks if M got all he wanted from him. since you were close to D- since you let go of his hand and came to me-you didnt think of ending it here did you?
M says choi got it wrong. since M used the line with choi that’s all he needed.
M says he wants to help D for real now. M: I never said I let go of D’s hand, that is just what you thought. choi asks if M is really jang’s son cuz M isnt like him at all-not his personality or looks. M asks if choi knows his dad well. choi says he met jang a few times before D’s grandfather passed away. M says even he doesnt know his dad well so choi is impressive for figuring out who his dad is after meeting him only a few times. choi almost falls so M catches him and tells him to be careful and asks if he is ok. choi thanks him. choi says it’s nice to walk and tells M to make this a regular thing
Y shows everyone the letter he wrote for his mom-he tells W to give it to his mom when W goes to seoul. Y explains that if his mom hurries home, he wrote that he would do “da” =everything
make delicious rice-massge her legs so they dont hurt- and sing impressively
NB’s wife says it sounds poetic. with the one word “everything” Y showed everything that is in his heart. NB yells for SC to bring the food. he comes with four different fried chickens. SC tells W to taste everything. SC brags and says this is just a taste and that he learned 1,000 chicken recipes so to eat all that, they have to eat breakfast for the rest of their lives. W asks how they can eat chicken for breakfast. SC’s mom asks what he means by lifetime of breakfasts and her husband says to leave it alone. SC is already in the past -cuz someone came- there wont be a huge difference. as long as that person is here, we dont need to be concerned. SC makes a face and asks what that means. SC mouths something to W about something together. his dad says there is too much chicken and asks Y if they should give some to D. Y agrees to take it but NB’s wife tells them to invite D over. she tells W to call and says she misses D cuz she hadnt seen him. SC gets mad hearing D’s name and W chokes on her chicken.
SC pushes W into her room to talk. she tries to get him to go out of her room. SC yells at W for bringing D home-is she in her right mind. she tells him to be quiet cuz Y doesnt know that D is WK’s son. SC asks what she is doing – deceiving Y-what does she plan to do. she explains how D got her dad’s job back. he is good to dad and dad likes D too. SC:what about you? let’s just say for now that Y doesnt know that D is WK-but what about you? you said you were duped by him and got mad and worried about how to pay him back -it hasnt been that long since that happened. he was paid off so it should end. there shouldnt be a reason to meet him again. why are you getting involved again? she tries to explain. SC asks if she forgot that D was her mom’s enemy. W says even tho that person (D) is WK’s president’s son- he isnt (the enemy). SC:that person? she says it’s complicated and will explain later, but SC wants her to explain now. SC: dont say it in a complicated way and just simply. she says it’s true that D’s dad is WK’s president, but D isnt a bad person. he is having a hard time cuz of his dad. SC tells her again to state it simply. she was going to say she liked D but SC stops her and says it’s ok. he says she is sweet so since D is nice to Y, she is doing that cuz she is thankful to D but that grateful feeling you have- end it here. he tells her to go out cuz of the food.
W goes to D’s office and hears D’s voice. she puts on lipstick. M comes out and seems surprised to see her here. she asks if he feels ok and suggest he eat noodles for his hangover. he asks her to go eat that with him later. she says she will keep being busy. M: is it cuz you think I might ask you to buy it for me again? W:that’s not it. he says it’s ok he doesnt need to eat that. I wasnt drunk yesterday- I was fine.
W:what? M: let’s go in. she mutters that he was drunk. M: dont ever say again that I resemble your brother. I am not your brother.
D is showing a demonstration video for how to put on his makeup to Nam. S gives her opinion-to use someone who looks above average-the person who is selling it has to be pretty to make ppl want to buy the makeup. nam agrees and looks at S saying S is pretty. Nam tells D to just focus on the product and says she is going to take responsibility for S’s position. S yells that that is her job. nam says S is too pretty and it’s a waste to sit her behind a desk and tells S to leave. MS stifles a laugh and says to S that even when they see her- S has a look that is a waste. D says nam is going to take over S’s positiona and tells S to do something else that needs a decision. S is irate. D asks nam to do a good job and leaves, but watches M and W walk in together.W smiles at D but D goes away. W greets MS and nam. S asks what W is doing there. nam says to S: I called her. do you have a problem with it? W starts to say that Nam really looks like her mom but Nam stops her midsentence telling W not to even say “mo (ther)” saying that she hates that word meaning the most. S yells at W that S is already peeved with ppl here and tells W not to hang around too and go feed the grandma. Nam yells “ya!”at S and startles S.
M hears that from the office, but D didnt and tells M to hurry and say what he wants cuz D has to leave. M tells D that he can use the factory as soon as they do checkups for it. D says that’s good and asks what else M has to say. M:how is your hand? D: it’s ok. M: let’s eat before you go. I came to eat with you. D: you should have told me sooner, I have to leave now.
D comes out and realizes the fight between nam and S.
Nam: who do you think you are to tell my guest to come and go
S speaks down to nam:how dare you speak informally to me -how old are you
MS tells S that this is an office-if she is going to fight go out and do it
W asks S: aunt – please stop
S turns on W: it’s cuz of you-i told you to go feed grandma so why are you still sticking around
W:i will go but since I made an appt to come I have to listen to what she wants to say and go
S: who said you could talk back
she says she will text her the housecode and tells her to hurry and leave.
Nam tells W and MS not to pay attention to S anymore and waves for them to follow her
but S stops Nam and pulls her back
S: who do you think I am for you to do this?
nam: mistress
S:what? what did you say?
nam repeats the word mistress but adds something else to it and says I have a lot of things to do so dont add insult to it- i hate going to the police station
S: you think I will be afraid if you say that

S tries to attack nam so W hugs S to block her

M tells W to come out so he can give her a ride

M asks W why she isnt eating and offers to order her something else. she says she is ok. he offers more of something else and keeps looking at her. W realizes she drank all her water so M calls the waiter over. D gives her his water. MS asks why D is giving the water he drank to W. D takes it back: forget it if you dont want to. W asks how:what’s wrong with your hand-did you hurt it?.MS takes his hand and asks if D hurt it. I didnt see it- why (did you hurt it). D takes her hand away and asks W: nam wants you to work with her -are you thinking of coming in to energy cell and working? M answers for her: she isnt going to – she said she liked selling cars the most. even if money dropped from the sky, she said she would still sell cars. he looks at W: didnt you? D says he asked W.
D to W : do you not want to come work next to me?
M to D: why are you suddenly talking about work while we are eating
D: cuz after we finish eating I have to go
D asks W if she wants to go back with him and talk it over

W starts to say who she likes but D comes back and takes MS back to work
T calls choi’s secretary and asks if he couldnt contact doctor jang yet. she tells him to find jang somehow and tell him to come to korea and meet her. she asks to just let her get in contact with jang. she asks if choi said anything after seeing the sketch. MS calls her so T says she will call back later
MS comes and says T came quickly. T says she waited 30 mins. MS says she went to eat with D on a date and grabs his arm. T says she feels sad- is that why D didnt call his mom at all. D takes MS’s hand off his arm. D says to T: employees are uncomfortable so stop dropping by.T says she came to meet D cuz she has something to say to him. D says he doesnt have time to talk to his mom. T holds his arm so he cant go and whispers that it will only take a minute and that choi wants a divorce
T says that she knew this would happen but it’s coming faster than she thought and she feels hurt and shocked. on top of that- the other person is S. D asks what his mom thinks cuz it doesnt matter to him. T explains that even if she won the divorce battle, if she takes her foot away from WK-it will be hard to get back to that place. how she was patient all this time and endured everything. she cant believe choi would send S to D’s office-that choi is not even human. D: what do you want me to do? T asks D to keep this a secret from J-i’m not asking you to deceive him-if he knows too, I will be too humiliated. T cries and D hugs her
at S’s home, grandma is putting bread she hid her in bag and putting it in W’s backpack. grandma says she feels better now that she has eaten W’s food. W takes the grandma her medicine. she reminds her not to forget to take it even for a day. grandma says she knows and will eat it and tells W to take all this to Y. W asks what all that is and grandma explains how S doesnt like to cook so everytime she leaves, she throws her mom those bread. it’s expensive so she tells W to eat it only with her dad.
W asks grandma to leave with her but she wont. grandma says she likes it here better. make sure you go and tell your dad that now grandma doesnt need to eat food anymore cuz she I am full just looking at what Y drew. grandma says how proud she is-look at how he wrote the letters- he is so smart. now that i think about it- M was smart cuz he took after Y. W: grandma -if you are not going home cuz of M, I will find him. grandma asks where W is going to find M. W shows the grandma the sketch of M. this is M isnt he? grandma asks how W has it.grandma holds the pic and cries saying my baby. W asks where the grandma saw M. where did you meet him? grandma says it isnt M-when she went to the hospital last time-when S left her alone.- he helped give her directions. W asks if the grandma is sure she saw him at the hospital -did he say he was bong maru? grandma calls W crazy and says he only gave her directions and isnt M. she tells W to hurry and go to her dad cuz her dad will make a fuss. W says she suddenly has someone to meet so she will leave now. grandma wonders when W will be back again and looks sad to see her go.
W is sure M is M and wonders why his name is J. she runs into choi on his way in. W realizes the person grandma is afraid will find M is choi. W says it doesnt make sense and goes back up
choi asks grandma if the sketch is of M.he tells her to tell him when, where, and how she saw M.grandma compares her sketch and wonders how there are two copies now. she tries to grab it from choi but he takes his away. choi:before you lose your memory again- tell me straight out.

she goes on about how Y slept on cold floors for his son, drew maps to find M, kept calling M’s name a thousand times when he missed M compared to someone like Y-if someone like you calls yourself a father – you will be punished. choi yells he didnt come to hear that and asks again for her to tell him where she saw M. grandma:what are you going to do if I tell you where I saw him. I am going to take M to Y- why would i take M to someone like you. even if i saw him i dont know and if i didnt i dont know. just go
choi: you still dont know me well it seems. if you keep resisting like this – what do you think will happen to your daughter? you saw how she held onto my leg and kneeled in front of me.
should I try making your daughter suffer? grandma tries to hit him saying she is going to kill him. W goes in and watches choi threaten grandma. choi: find M- bring my son to me. if you just find M- I will make your daughter comfortable for life. I will let her live in my home. grandma says what is her daughter lacking to live off of him. he tells her if she doesnt want to hear that then find M and bring him back.he says as soon as he finds M, he will chase them (T and D) away. I cant stand to watch J try to find my son’s place anymore so find M. find my blood line bong maru. i wont ever give up the postition I got thru blood on my hands.I am going to make my son M president of WK so bring him to me. his dad is an impressive man but he is making me look like a fool, someone who cant hear. my poor child M – bring him to me. choi yells that he cant give the company to D cuz D isnt his blood line. I’m going to give that position to my son. W runs out when she hears that.
W sits on the steps and thinks about what will happen to D and worries and realizes that J is M and cries. she wants to call his phone but hesitates

D turns his rear view mirror to her lips. he tells her to talk now. she says he is driving. he says its ok but she says its dangerous so he pulls over and tells her to talk. she says in her head-is Jang junha bong Maru? J is M isnt he? D asks her to talk-you called me so why arent you talking? why arent you saying anything and just staring? W:cant I do that? D:what? W: i called you cuz I wanted to see you-cant I do that? cant I do that? D:then dont talk – you better not. D keeps driving
D pulls up. he tells her to wait. she asks why they came here. D: if you are just going to look- dont talk and just stare. he opens her door and tells her to get out. she says wait a minute but he unfastens her seatbelt and takes her out.he takes her into a club.
she asks for him to just go home.D:why? it is perfect to just look at each other’s faces.it’s loud so you cant hear talk. it’s dark so hold on tight (to his hand). she uses her bag as a shield when she sits to cover her outfit. he asks if she wants to dance. :what? D: let’s not talk and just look at each other’s faces and dance. she pretends she cant hear and mouths the words clearly-what did you say?
he leans in and says: I said let’s go out (on the floor) and dance. she asks how she can go out there dressed like this. D leans in really close and asks:why? is there someone you have to look good for here besides me? she pushes him away with her finger on his forehead: move back. D: i cant- my eyes are bad so when it’s dark I cant see you. he leans in close again: shouldnt say anything and just look, but I cant see. W:you are just playing with me arent you? D:that’s right I am cuz I dont like you so I am (?). W:what? he turns her head and makes her look at the dance floor. look carefully- out of everyone here- you are the most unattractive arent you? but can you do that? (meaning how could she treat D like that with M) W:what? D: can you do that when you are unattractive? W:what? D: from this moment on -dont concern youself with ppl here and dont think about the person who isnt here. you understand?
M rides the cable car thinking about how W said she liked M more than D and smiles.
W remembers how choi yelled at the grandma about kicking out D as soon as he finds M cuz he cant stand and watch D try to take over where his own son should be. how he yelled at grandma to find his bloodline M. W takes D’s injured hand and puts her palm up to it asking if it hurt alot. D says she is better than M (at making him better). D clasps his fingers around her hand and says it hurts less now since he is doing this. D leans and saying: but right now, I still like J a little more than you. So try harder. you’re so unattractive. (he meant it jokingly and lovingly). she turns her head to cry and asks him to dance with her. he says he cant dance. W:then why did you come here? D:that’s cuz….W: so you can confirm that I am unattractive? D:that’s another reason…W:let’s confirm if you can move your body. she drags him out to the floor, but he keeps saying he cant dance
she dances and he looks around. she tells him to just look at her and not anyone else.D asks how she learned how to dance like this. W: My friend SC-the one you told me not to say the name of-
she says she learned from him when he got into dancing in high school (might be middle school cuz I dont know schools in korean). D says he is going to report it. W:do whatever you want. she keeps dancing and he makes a scowling face. D:W – I was wrong. I promise not to say let’s come to a place like this again. let’s go. W: i dont want to – today I am going to dance till I faint – forget everything and then go. she keeps dancing but he isnt. she suddenly hugs him. she cries and says: from now on, you really cant say anything at all. W hugs him more and cries saying his name. when he cant see her face, she says :even if i become the baddest W in the world- you cant hate me. he pulls her away and says – you said not to say anything and hugs her. he says in his head: W- can I say just one thing too? stay like this now -next to my side.
Y is trying to sleep, but misses his mom so he isnt sleeping well. W hugs him
choi tells some other men that they can trust M cuz choi favors M. choi asks them to go and drink. M gets a call. he says into the phone that he can go right away and to wait just a little bit. M tells choi and them that he has to leave for an imp appt. choi tells him to go
choi goes to see doc jang. OMG. choi asks how long it’s been. jang says it’s been a long time.
M goes to meet W. he says she looks like a different person cuz she changed her bag. what brings you all the way here? W: i came to collect debts. I bought you food twice.M:yesterday you said you didnt want me to take you home so why did you show up as a debt collector. W:should I go? M: no -this way-let’s go. he pushes her from behind. he takes her to his car and puts her seatbelt on telling her to hold on tight cuz he is going to go fast.he asks what she wants to eat, but W says instead of food she wants him to buy her something else. he says she must have found out that he has a lot of money.
M:what should I buy you? W:whatever M:let’s go-wherever
M bought her a new outfit. omg is that a chanel bag? M is holding shopping bags and says the bag in the window is pretty. W points to herself and what she is carrying and the shopping bags he is holding and says:these are a lot too. M says there is more inside and takes her in. he says the beige one is pretty but she chooses a backpack. he asks if she wants to be a turtle again (LOL cuz of her red backpack that looks like a turtle shell). she says she likes it so he says this bag (backpack) will be good for when they ride the cable car and asks what else she wants. she asks if she can buy both bags and he says of course. she asks for the watch back-his prescription and holds out her hand. M:you said you didnt need it-that you wouldnt forget your brother. W:I was going to do that, but I just cant do it. I got that illness back. she cries and says: doctor jang junha – I am not going to find my brother M.

haha, I started it last week, and when the preview came out Thursday, I knew I needed those scenes… so it was just a matter of waiting for the episode to air, so I could replace the clips. It was definitely worth the wait!!! ^_^

I don’t have a concrete explanation for all your questions, but I have a few theories/thoughts that might help clear up some of your confusion. Just don’t blame me if I’m wrong, lol… 😉
I think W let J go on a spending spree for her, because at this point, she realizes he’s M, and has already resolved to give him up. It’s like the “final date” that happens a lot in dramas… when the main couple are (often secretly) forced apart, one of them will ask for a date as a final memory/memento – it’s her way of letting go completely, while allowing herself to finally be treated like a sister/friend by the oppa she always admired, and spent so much time searching for. The real question is, why did she stop at a new dress and a couple bags – I would’ve demanded an entire new wardrobe and a haircut, for having wasted so much time, energy, and my own personal sanity.
I think Choi was yelling at Grandma because he already suspects J is M, but is extremely frustrated because everything keeps pointing to the opposite – so he goes to the one person who knows for sure about the identity of his son – S’s mother – and tries to threaten her into revealing where/who he is. I think the desperation comes from the fact that he *does* feel a connection to J, and fears that if he is M, it will be difficult to sway him to his side, and away from his wife and DJ – so it’s not so much that he’s desperate to find his son… but that he’s desperate to prove J is not him. Hence, the line: “I cant stand to watch J try to find my son’s place anymore so find M.”
He’s either tired of thinking J is his son, and wants confirmation once and for all… or he’s tired of J helping D, and wants his real son in the picture so he can stop their united front.
Regarding T’s divorce – I honestly just thought she was bringing it up in order to garner sympathy from D, since she knows he’s been angry with her, and distant (just seeing the look she gave when he hugs her tells me it was calculated, not genuine). Telling him to keep it a secret from M might have been nothing more than a power-play – a way of saying “this is OUR secret now”, and you’re the only one I trust with this important information. In a small way, it’s a reversal of the betrayal D felt J and his mother had inflicted upon him. Otherwise, I can’t see what the significance of the divorce would be… seeing as how it was brought up in the last episode, and she seemed to have the upper hand at the time. Not to mention, I thought both sides had to be in agreement to pursue a divorce… so all she’d have to do is prove he’s been unfaithful… which would be hilariously easy. So really, I wouldn’t be surprised if the divorce-talk was a lie – or if she was actually the one who proposed it, and it was part of a larger plan. One which requires J to be completely unaware…
Regarding the Nam issue: that’s one thing that confuses me too. The only thing I can think of, is that they’re trying to capitalize on the idea that it takes more than looks to “resemble” a person; and in this case, the eyes, the spirit, the aura itself seems completely opposite to W’s mother. That’s why even W couldn’t make the connection until the sunglasses had been removed. It’s also telling that Y can see people more “clearly” than others – like how he was able to liken D to W’s mother, simply by their eyes… or the way he can recognize M just by his sleeping face. So his dismissal of Nam is kinda hilarious and telling. It’s like saying she is nothing like W’s mother, despite her appearance… which I think is going to play-in to the big “reveal” later on – since chances are high they were twin sisters or something. Perhaps W’s mom became deaf because of Nam…

The one fact that I like about WR said at the end, she will no longer look for her first love. I think the writer will address all confusing parts one by one. If WR is my sis, I will probably say, just stay put and let DJ do his plan, also stay away from both dudes atm, until things cooling down. Cuz all this time, everybody tries to do sth for DJ, while he’s been shouting many times that he has his plan, gotta trust the guy.

Here are my conjectures on what’s going on (based entirely on what I’ve read here for the last three episodes, haven’t had time to watch them yet, so apologies beforehand if I get anything wrong or out of context).
I can’t believe the amount of secrets and pseudo/adoptive parenting there are in this drama!
First off, I know all’s fair in love and war but what gets up my nose is that MR/JH doesn’t seem to realise that he’s missed his chance at winning the fair WR. She said her first love was MR, not JJH, and that fact seems to have escaped him. He might have got it confused but WR hasn’t, MR/JH should live life as one or the other but not both, and since he seems adamant that MR should be someone in her past then that’s where he should stay. Speaking of first love, if DJ’s accident hadn’t happened and he disappeared I don’t think MR oppa would have stayed as WR’s first love for long anyway, judging from how fast she became fond of DJ. Let’s face it, if I had to choose between the attentive oppa and the grumpy one I know my affections would have gone to the attentive one in no time at all.
I’m hoping that WR isn’t going to do anything stupid and the worse thing she’s going to do is that she’s going to hide the fact that she’s found MR and she isn’t telling. Considering for the last 16 years, with a lot of tears and money, and pain for Y and grandma, not to mention hassle for Y’s friend and his family, they’ve been searching ceaselessly, and now she’s found him, she’s not going to bring him home! And here’s the rub, of course she won’t allow choi and SA to find him because they’ll make JH the heir to WK, thus robbing DJ off of his inheritance outright, because if she tells grandma and Y and they try to bring him home, it wouldn’t work, because again choi and SA will know and will try to take him from them, now considering she knows JH is hiding his true identity because he doesn’t want to come back to them so why force him. To WR this is a bad thing knowing how much grandma and Y wants MR back, but she doesn’t want to bring home someone who’s unwilling to come back, and who has the potential to hurt the person she loves. I don’t think she’s going to play JH, a bit out of charcter if she does, but it’s telling him she’s laid the memory of her oppa to rest and she won’t seek him out anymore, her first love is gone, for good. But before she does that she’s making him pay for leaving them. If JH thinks properly WR already said she doesn’t like to chase after money so why would she chase him because of his money. I think JH knows where WR’s affections lies and that’s why he doesn’t want her to work with Nam at Energy Cell where she’ll get even more opportunities to interact with DJ.
I think T realises that keeping JH is like playing with a double-edged sword. She needs to get the company back for DJ but if choi, SA and JH joins forces then all is lost, since she gave all her rights to the company to choi. JH needs to be kept in the dark of certain facts in case he should ever find out about his true parentage and decides to jump ship, again (I know many of you think she’s evil for using JH and treating DJ badly but she’s human after all and who wouldn’t go off at the deep end under the circumstances. Although I don’t like her I’ll reserve my judgement of her for now, until the drama shows us more of her plan and action. I put the blame of her going cuckoo entirely at the feet of her father, who wasn’t very far sighted. DJ is the only rightful heir to WK as far as I can see, both his paternal and maternal grandfathers were the founders, his biological dad and his mother were the heir apparents, so that company ought to be DJ’s. But his maternal grandfather, being stupid, didn’t want his daughter to be a widow, with a child to raise and makes a decision for her to have a man and brings his secretary in as the replacement father to DJ, his daughter went along with it and trusts choi so much that she gave him everything including her son’s shares (I guess this is DJ’s inheritance from his deceased paternal grandfather and dad) to the company. No wonder it drove her beyond rational reasoning when she found out she was betrayed by the person she trusted; I hope DJ doesn’t end up enduring the same fate with JH with T bringing him in to the mix as his hyung. That would be ironic for T, setting out to take revenge and ending up making the same mistake as your own father.) I guess no one could have foreseen how greedy Choi is, the guy doesn’t seem to understand the word ‘share’, can’t he just take his cut for his hard work, which would probably be huge anyway, and pass that on to his own son. Mind you, even if he does only that it’s still too late, because he’s killed already.
A picture looking like someone doesn’t mean anything when all the so-called facts point in a different direction. Unless Dr. Jang comes out and says JJH isn’t his biological son those in dark aren’t going to make the connections. I think SA might work out JH is her son in the next episode from the sound of it. Will this push him over the edge if he gets rejected from WR too? He’s not going to take well to finding out T’s been using him and choi, a killer, is his father. If the writer is going to make him go over to the dark side completely, whether for good or for a while, they have to do it soon. We shall see if he lets go of DJ’s hand or not, like he did with WR, and if he does will he come to realise if you let go of something precious it might be hard to hold on again.
Everyone has a doppelganger, WR knows Nam looks like her mother, but what of it, as far as she knows her mother didn’t seem to have a family and the drama hasn’t even shown us who WR’s real dad is. Most of the audience are probably assuming he died before WR was born. I had hoped that Nam had no family ties to WR and her looking like her mum is just a coincidence but I’m not so sure now after reading the recap. She might be an aunt afterall, and maybe her mother couldn’t cope with a deaf and mute child and abandoned her and Nam remembers her sister and that’s why she doesn’t hold much to the meaning of the word ‘mother’ because she knows her own sister was dumped by their mother.

Actually, I think the saving grace WAS the grandfather’s foresightedness. From what I understood, he never pushed Choi onto his daughter, but rather, Choi ingratiated himself to her – and Choi and T spent all those years trying to win the grandfather over.
That’s why it was such a big deal when the grandfather finally caved and named him Chairman. And even then, he had certain precautions in place to ensure his daughter and grandson were taken care of – he made the contract stating Choi would get nothing if he ever had a child, and T and D had separate shares – to keep Choi from having sole control of the company.
It was T who didn’t have the necessary foresight and let love blind her. If she hadn’t given Choi her and D’s shares of the company, he wouldn’t be in the position of power he’s in now…
I’m pretty sure Doctor Jang’s in on their plan, and will confirm that Junha’s his “son”. So happily, that at least, will frustrate Choi, lol.
But other than that, wonderful analysis – especially in regards to T’s motivations. 🙂

Thanks for explaining the bit about the grandfather, it makes more sense now, although I’m still under the impression the grandfather allowed T to end up with choi because he thought he could control things and didn’t want them to be alone once he was gone. Of course, I realise that T was blinded by love too otherwise she wouldn’t have trusted choi so implicitly.
But if the grandfather made it so as choi would end up with nothing if he had a child of his own then wouldn’t it still stand now whether or not he’s got all of T’s and DJ’s shares?

Regarding the marriage between T and Choi… there’s really no way to know, since they never explained it fully. But I’d guess that the grandfather strongly opposed it, and was far from accepting. If he’d willingly allowed Choi to end up with T, I doubt he wouldn’t have been so suspicious and put so many clauses in the contract.
I mean, at the start of the series, DJ is about 13 years old… and if Choi and T got together shortly around the time DJ was born, that’s an awfully long time to be cold and suspicious towards your son-in-law. Looking at it another way, it took him 13 years to thaw to Choi… only to still be betrayed in the end.
In regards to the contract… Choi tore it up the night of Dongjoo’s accident, when he killed the grandfather, so he thinks there’s no remaining proof of it. Though, as alexus on Soompi pointed out, there’s a possibility there’s another copy, and DJ’s mother has it…

Thanks, I’ll have to rewatch that episode again, not that I don’t trust you, but there are so many things I’m starting to forget, by the time it gets to 30 I’ll probably have forgotten what happened in the beginning! That’s the trouble of following so many dramas all in one go. They should do it like HK dramas and have one episode each night during week nights.

Between DJ and JH I forgot to mention SC. I feel for the man. He’s been the oppa and potential love interest for the last 16 years and he’s become invisible! Even his mum likes DJ and his father is DJ’s friend because he’s Y’s friend. Poor, poor SC!

the official explanation is that dongjoo doesn’t remember anything from his childhood. he didn’t seem to remember woori, so i thought that was true. but then in later episodes it seemed like he was just SAYING he had forgotten so choi wouldn’t realize that dongjoo his mom and junha all know that choi had killed his grandfather…

Dong Joo does remember his past. Part of their plan was for him to “pretend” to forget, so that Choi would have no reason to be suspicious… because otherwise, he’d know that Dong Joo saw him kill his grandfather, and would constantly be on guard against them (though really, it’s not like he’s *not* on guard anyway, lol).
Since Dongjoo needs to keep up appearances, he’s supposed to pretend he can’t remember Woori either… even though he does. That’s why he’s constantly teasing her about her version of their past… because even though he remembers it clearly, he has to pretend otherwise. Even so, he has slipped several times, and every now and then needs Joonha to stop him from revealing what he knows.

I am currently watching CYHMH and stopped at this episode….foursome dinner scene, I just couldn’t go on and watch the brothers fight over Woo Ri…I like them both, don’t know who to cheer for (obviously, I know who will eventually get the girl). I couldn’t stand to watch Ma Ru’s hurt expression and I don’t want to see him go over the dark side. Dong Joo on the other hand was such a sweet kid and has been in love with Woo Ri since. He has turned out to be a great person too, how can you not be moved by that. Therefore, reading your synopsis is good enough for me…though I do take a peek every now and then when I read what might be a good scene. Great job, really detailed.

It’s plain that W is trying to have a date with her brother as a way of letting go of her feelings. W and D sure are destined its obvious too but on the contrary , Y is disabled in the first place, it comes in that his son dosen’t like him for that, his wife left him, again he lost that beloved son and waited for his return for 16 damn years now that so called son of him isn’t his …ahhhg ! isnt t too much for one charactor ? But after all the movie is great its unfolding in a lovely way, I love the writers skill
