Rooftop Prince E8

How is it possible for a drama to be so good that it hurts. I think this is the first one to have such a packed episode each and every time. So much happened today that it goes at the speed of light. I love how we never have a moment to think and just keep swooning along with H. Even if the next two episodes are slower, this one makes up for everything. I actually wrote the words “omg – LOL” in the middle of the recap cuz I was ROFL. So many screencaps to choose from. I think I fell in love with this drama all over again tonight. 🙂

Thanks to Semi-fly and her fast torrents, I got a little trigger happy with the lovey dovey scenes.

Whether it’s Joseon or 2012, you can’t take the boy out of the man. This is him faking another attack so she will give him more mouth to mouth – doesn’t he get that he doesn’t need to go to such lengths. Just ask already – bet she is willing at this point. I about died during this scene from laughing so hard. Could he be more adorable?  🙂

Starts from the guys and H going to their new home. She says daebak and the 3 guys clap like crazy and M says let’s take pics to remember this by. H: me too. M was going to do a selca but he asks G take the pic. M: make sure the whole house comes out. H: take it big. G: will take the pic at the count of 3. he didnt count and just clicked when no one was ready. H: what is that. do it again.  Then C takes their pic. G asks if they like the house. H: it’s totally gorgeous. Y: it is really impressive. G says then let’s go to the supermarket to grocery shop.

H lists the stuff they need to buy and other 3 load the cart with them- green onions, carrots, spinach, mushrooms, lettuce, but G just got lots of yogurt drinks. The 3 guys taste the free samples.  G gives his credit card to pay for it all at one time instead of splitting up payments.

Y, C, and M look at a box of sugar cubes and C asks: wont it be nice if we chew and eat this. M reads that it’s “gak” (cubed) sugar so they look over at G cuz that’s his name and Y says let’s put some in the basket.

G sees something about lotus flowers and remembers how it’s H’s name bu yong. H comes over and looks at the fish -she says they are pretty and points to one saying it looks exactly like you – it looks funny. he looks too and points to each one saying it looks like Y, C, and M. she says it really does look like them. she waits for him to point to one fish that looks like her but he picks up a seed and says this is like you. he buys it and she asks if they can deliver the fish.

Chairman is with the aunt. Chairman asks if S went all the way to chongno to buy her rice cakes. S says I had to go there anyway for work. aunt says the chairman chose a great secretary – that S is better than a daughter. S: TY moves today so should I prepare something. chairman: they will have prepared on their own. aunt says should we go look at TY’s rooftop home today? S: if it’s ok with you should I prepare a simple housewarming party. T comes and says prepare the crab dish TY likes. chairman agrees and says our TY would wake up from his sleep if it’s crabs. Aunt offers to pick it up with S cuz she knows a place that makes it well. chairman compliments T for thinking of that.

T and G are playing squash. G: you said you were going to teach me so how could you hit this hard. T: a person can lose the memory in his head but he cant lose the memory his body holds. I never beat you at squash. I never once believed you were TY.

at the rooftop home, H cooks some food and S serves chairman, aunt, and T’s dad. S says how TY is late and aunt says how he went to work out with T. they should be here soon.  S: should I get you some beer? aunt is happy and says yes.  if only I had a son (to match S up with)  T’s dad clears his throat displeased.

S asks dont you have any beer glasses and H says we don’t have it. S says I have to reorganize everything in the kitchen (meaning get the stuff that is needed that are missing).

T and G show up. T’s dad: elders are waiting so you should have come earlier.  T says sorry. you prepared a lot. S asks the chairman: should we start eating. Chairman says yes and invites G to sit next to her. T’s dad tells him to sit next to him. S brings in the crab. aunt says you are surprised aren’t you TY -it’s the crab you like. aunt invites S to sit and says you worked so hard today. Chairman tells G to eat a lot since it’s been a long time since he has had this. G stares at the crab.  T’s dad thinks G is waiting cuz elders haven’t eaten yet. H looks over and remembers how G cant eat crabs -how he almost died eating it. T offers some to G saying you like this so you should eat. G starts to reach for it and eats some. He says how it tastes good and he will eat it well. He keeps eating and H looks worried.

H goes outside and looks for G. she sees him unable to breathe and choking. she runs over and asks why are you like this- are you ok? S comes out and looks for G too.

H tells him to breathe. wait a minute.” When S comes down she sees what looks like kissing but H was giving him mouth to mouth. S goes back up

The 3 guys are playing go stop with becky and mimi. Mimi thinks M was lying about playing for the first time cuz he is so good at it. M knows what cards they have and wins $2.40 from each of them

H comes out of the clinic with G. he got a shot so now he feels better. He says how effective that one shot was cuz he can breathe more comfortably and now he feels fine. if this was Joseon I would have died… he stops talking and says “let’s hurry and go home since guests are waiting.” She stares at him accusingly so he asks why are you like that. H: what is your plan/objective. You aren’t TY. Who are you?

Chairman says she wants to go home and rest. She asks where TY is and why isnt he coming. T’s dad: what is he doing inviting elders for the housewarming and doing this. he shouldnt be doing this. aunt: did TY go somewhere with H? S: I think so aunt cuz awhile ago I saw them at the stairs together after we ate and I came back in but after that I didnt see them. chairman asks what the others are going to do. S offers to stay and clean up. T says he will stay and see TY and then leave. Chairman says S worked hard today. S: rest comfortably chairman

H and G are walking and she asks why he lied. Why did you deceive me. G: what would I deceive you about? H: that is what I want to ask. Whatever you said I just trusted you. from the start when you said you came from joseon I believed it. next when you said you were TY -the chairman’s grandson- I thought “ah so that is the truth” and believed you again. but now you are the prince from joseon again. after doing that you will say that you are TY again.  From now on I cant believe you anymore.

H goes up the stairs and crosses on the walkway above the street but G crosses the street and almost gets killed cuz he did it on purpose without looking. on the other side, she cries and asks if he is crazy cuz he could have died. G: now do you believe me? She kicks him and says don’t do this again. Say it with words cuz I will believe you.

S is doing dishes and T back hugs her and asks if she is still angry. She pushes him away and says I am not angry. He says this is the first time you did this to me. you never did this before. S: are you saying it’s my fault for changing my behavior. He says my father will acknowledge our relationship soon so wait a little bit. don’t do this to me. She says I will change if you change. T: i just need to do better right? ok. I wont disappoint you

H says to G: you could have died from not being able to breathe -you knew that and ate the crab. Is it more important than your life to pretend to be TY. G: it is that important. H: why? do you need that family’s money? or do you need access? you dont. G: that’s right – why would I need the money or access. H: but that family is happy thinking that the real TY came back. what are you going to do about that. G: I am going to pretend to be TY and do everything. H: why are you putting your life on the line to pretend to be TY. G: it’s the reason why I came from joseon. H: the reason why you came here from joseon? G: for the sake of meeting someone.  She asks person? who is that.  G: you are from here so you only need to know this much. but I will never lie to you.

S goes into H’s room and sees the sketch with H and a yellow butterfly. She looks at H’s phone and there is a pic of her and G as the background. T comes in the room and says let’s go in my car since you didn’t bring your car. She says no I will take a cab. He says she is scary when she is angry. S: should we leave now. why are those people not coming

G says a while ago I couldn’t breathe and wasnt focusing so I cant remember well but didnt you help me breathe? H: yes. G: how did you do it? H: I gave you mouth to mouth. G: how do you do that? H: put my mouth to yours and blow air in. [ It’s like a lightbulb goes off in his head. ] He suddenly pretends to be unable to breathe. H: what’s wrong. is your throat closing up again? should we go to the hospital? G: I need mouth-to-mouth. He opens one eye to peek at her reaction. She hits him repeatedly and says you are going to die. how can you kid. you scared me so much. G pretends again he cant breathe so she hits his mouth and says “dont breathe.” H: when I think about how much you scared me awhile ago, I could die from resentment. G teases: you were for sure a general in a former life. H: what?! A general! She hits him some more. S watches them being friendly with each other

G has a meeting with the guys and says they are going to live here from tonight on in this renovated rooftop home. everyone has to do their job for everything to go well. the 3 guys say yes. he assigns each guy in charge of something like for M- expenses for the home. C-get what they need for the kitchen and Y to guard the place at all times. And how H is no longer the owner of the home and just living here so she needs to know her place. she has to cook, do laundry, and clean and not be lazy about doing housework. And make sure he isnt uncomfortable living here without complaining. She asks why she has to do that. G: I just told you not to complain. Where do you live. H: me? here. G: and whose home is this. She points to G without looking. G smiles pleased and says something like she needs to obey. G says to them- it’s late so let’s rest. the 3 say yes to him. C tells her to make warm omurice tm morning for breakfast and prepare plenty of ketchup. Y tells her to sleep comfortably.

H cant sleep and remembers G saying the reason he came here from joseon was to meet someone.

Next day H goes to the library. She looks up info about G. she reads something and cries. She closes the book.

Pyo meets with G. Pyo: you want to know about yourself? G: yes. right up to when I was missing I want to know what condition I was in. pyo: how can you trust me? G: cuz grandmother trusts you. Pyo: before you got into the accident in america, I am pretty sure you met up with T. G: I met T hyung in america? Pyo: even though T met you in NY, he has been lying until now. G remembers how T said I never once believed you were TY. Pyo: I dont know yet what the connection is between T lying and your disappearance, but what is certain is you have to be careful of T. either he knows something for sure or he did something to you himself. G remembers how T tried to feed G that crab

Pyo and G run into T and his dad. pyo speaks down to his dad and says how the dad is gaining weight the more he sees him. so his dad gets mad at pyo saying dont you know who is your superior – how dare you speak banmal (informally). Pyo calls him names and says why are you like this. did you get to your position through your abilities. T’s dad tells TY not to hang out with Pyo. Pyo tells him to be quiet. Pyo says to T: you take after your father and you arent giving me pleasant looks. T says to G: you are having a hard time huh. G: aren’t you having a harder time hyung. T: what does that mean. G: You know very well what we both mean. They glare at each other and pyo calls TY’s name and T’s dad call his son away. let’s go. Pyo calls the dad crazy.  Pyo asks if G was too bold suddenly. G says he only said that for the heck of it but T reacted to it.

chairman asks if T’s dad has something to reveal. he says yes but T tries to stop him but his dad tells the chairman how T is going on a blind date tm. aunt: really? that suddenly? chairman asks who the person is that T is going on the date with. his dad says some person high up’s 3rd daughter. Chairman: i see.  since we are already talking about this. she asks S to sit down for a minute. she asks if S is dating anyone now. His dad says to S: you dont have any guy you are dating now right? she only works every day so how could she have one. S: I am not dating anyone. T’s dad: of course. Chairman asks her what do you think of our TY. aunt says she thought that same thing that S looks good with TY. how could we have the same idea. they are perfect for each other. chairman says while you were showing TY around – you met him outside of work a few times didnt you. S: yes chairman. aunt: so how was it? aunt asks if S was interested in TY or not. chairman tells S to do well with TY. T’s dad says how his son is going to meet his blind date at at hotel at 5pm tm. chairman asks S for an answer. S says what answer can I give you. aunt says that means S doesn’t dislike TY and chairman says she will push for it so do well (with TY) T looks upset watching S smile.

* this makes no sense to me that the chairman would set up her secretary with her grandson. shouldnt his grandmother aim a little higher like T’s dad. but then again this is the same grandmother who is allowing her grandson to live with 3 other guys and a girl in the same home that she built for them. cant tell if she is a progressive grandmother or clueless

T calls S into his office. He asks her to accept the musical tickets. she says she doesnt watch those. T: It’s for tm’s performance at 5. She asks isnt 5pm tm the time you are on the blind date at the hotel. he says yes that’s right. I reserved it for that time on purpose. you will know my heart when you see which place I go to tm.

H sits by the river and looks sad. She gets a call from S’s mother.

H meets with S’s mom and goes to her new home. H asks why you did you buy so much mother. the mom says you are living with boarders so you have to save on side dishes.  When she goes in the mom is startled to see the 4 guys standing there. she asks if these young guys are the boarders. H tells them -what are you doing- say hello- she is my mother. 3 of them bow and says hello. it’s the first time meeting you.  but G doesn’t. H gives him a look to say something so G just tells the mom to rest well and then go. He goes upstairs with the guys. the mom says I am thirsty so give me some water. H tells her to have a seat and goes to get it.

The guys sit and watch them talk from above. The mom says I came today to tell you about a great blind date so i came running over. H: me? the mom says yes. you need to stop suffering alone and meet a good man, get married, have kids, and live with the guy as a family.  The guys repeat the words. G says marriage? Y says kids? C says husband? M says family? the mom says the guy’s father saw H a few times at the market and he chose her. he asked how about you meeting his son.  H tries to say she doesn’t want to yet  but the mom says be quiet. she says he is a teacher at an elementary school. you have to go no matter what. I already made the appointment for you so prepare. H: what? you already set it up? the mom says then should I have lost that chance. she compliments the rooftop home saying it’s so luxurious. the owner’s taste is unique. She sees the guys and asks H why are those young guys hanging around. H motions for them to go inside but G mouths back: what? this is my home. they don’t move. Y looks the most upset about her date so C points to M to look at Y

C wonders since H is going on the blind date – if the guy will like H. M says there will be a guy with unusual tastes. M asks why Y is sitting there. let’s go out.  but Y says I want to rest today. you two go. M: there are times when you want to rest? dont pout and come on and let’s go.  Y yells where is there a law that I cant be in pain. C jokes does your heart hurt here. is it love sickness? Y gets up asking: where did I put my sword.  M pulls C away saying let’s go. he says to Y “you just rest”

H is exercising outside and G comes over. She asks what are you doing not exercising when you said you came out to exercise. are you worried about something.  He says this is my exercise (pacing back and forth) he asks what she is doing suddenly. (meaning why she is working out suddenly) and she says to look thin I am taking care of my body cuz I am going on a blind date tm. He takes out his yogurt drink and asks : do you think you will meet a good guy. H: mother said he was a good guy so I should look forward to it. G: if you go on a blind date and like him, does it mean you get married.  H: after the date, if it goes quickly they say people get married within a month. G: then it will be good if it’s a good person.  She says she will pray a good guy shows up. G slurps his drink and crushes the plastic bottle in anger

H dresses up sort of for her date but has on jeans. G waits on the stairs and walks down just as she is about to leave. He looks at her outfit and asks if she is going to the market to buy groceries now. buy a lot of sweet things. She asks if she looks like she is going to the market. G: werent you going grocery shopping? then were you going on your blind date looking like that. H: why? it’s clothes I saved away cuz it was special – it’s just cuz it’s the first time you saw these clothes. when i looked in the mirror it was pretty. he asks if she intends to shame her mother. how she has to look pretty for the guy. she says I will take care of it on my own so stop paying any attention. But he says as someone who lives in the same home I cant stand by and watch you be embarrassed and looked down on . H: what is wrong with these clothes. he looks up at the guys and they all give thumbs down

G and the guys take her clothes shopping. Y claps the loudest when she comes out in a new outfit each time. M and C give her thumbs up. G shakes his finger no and then she wears a pretty one and he smiles. the guys all clap. G says that outfit is good. He gives his card and tells the salesclerk he will buy everything she tried on today. H says to G why buy all those. then she says to the salesclerk: just ring this one up please. He says do you think you will just end with one blind date. dont talk nonsense. he tells the clerk remember her face well and don’t give her any refunds on her returns if she comes

They take her shoe shopping for heels and she almost falls. G says this is better than what she had on before. she asks “can I come back down” meaning take of the heels. Then he takes her to get her hair done. She falls asleep. He wakes her and tells her to have a good date. dont kick the guy. I am going

H meets with her date. (it’s the actor who played older Y on Moon) He asks if she has a nickname. He guesses peppermint candy (park ha). H: yes that’s correct. He says cuz my face was white ever since I was young, my nickname was Heo Yeom (wasnt that his character name on Moon?) H: that’s so funny.

The 3 guys are at the next table watching everything.her date asks if she likes watching movies. H: yes I like them. he looks over at the trio and says I love movies to her. I am crazy about them. if it’s about movies I can talk about them all night. what’s wrong (cuz she looked over at the trio) H: oh nothing.

C texts G “he is tall and good looking. He is the best.” G gets another text: He said H was pretty and likes her. he even drooled once. ” G is upset and feeds the fish to distract himself.  C texts they are going to the movies next and it looks like it’s going well. G sighs and texts H. he says come right now cuz it’s time to feed the fish. Her date says should we go but she says I am really sorry but I have to go cuz something urgent came up. I am really sorry – it’s cuz it’s really urgent. He says then it cant be helped. he offers to take her where she needs to go but she says it’s ok I have to go in a hurry. I had fun today. I am really sorry. After she leaves, her date looks over at the 3 guys

G is in a car and sticks his hand out the window to feel the wind and looks happy. he checks his reflection in the rearview mirrro

H is waiting when G pulls up in a white car that was towed there. OMG. LOL. G waves at her. She wonders what this is. He leans out and says: you came. I need to learn how to drive so teach me well. She asks you called me for this? G: I am a fast learner so it will be easy for you to teach me.

G grips the steering wheel nervously and she starts the engine. She tells him to take his feet off the brake slowly. He is driving on a school yard going like ten miles an hour. H: are we crawling along. step on the accelerator more. It would be faster to walk. Red light. So he brakes hard. She yells at him- I told you to step on it softly.  what is it – are you dumb. G says in a minute he is going to make her take her words back. She says look straight ahead. G: yes. H: go again.  Make a left. Turn the signal lights on. he turns on window wipers. H sighs. G: I did that on purpose cuz I cant see the front well. she says now parking – first reverse.  The car suddenly stalls and he asks why isnt this going. she makes a snarky comment that it’s on park/neutral.  it’s so frustrating I think I will go crazy. so he yells at her did you know how to drive from birth. She says you cant drive if you lose your temper. She says reverse. so he tries to park between two cars, but it’s hopeless. H: do you think you can park within today? should I go eat and come back? He says I will stop learning how to drive if I have to go through this. she says that’s good. Get out. He does and she parks the car easily.

He says if you were living in joseon do you think you would be able to ride horses right away when you’ve never ridden. H: horses? all you have to do is get on, put your butt on it, and just sit and the horse will know where to go on its own. if you yell “yeee” then it will go and when you say “whoah” it will stop.

So they go horseback riding. She is on the horse. G: what are you doing? go forward. she is scared and says wait a minute. G: didnt you say it would go if you say “yeee.” He makes the horse move so it scares her. she screams. G: you said it was easy. H: great for you. G tells the horse: you are a horse and I am a person and you are going to give me a ride. he tells her to sit comfortably. if you keep trembling if you were the horse would you like it? since you have this chance, dont be afraid and learn well.” He gets on back and they take off outside.

As they ride along he asks how was the guy you met today on the blind date. She says how nice he was and good to her and doesnt tell me to do this or that. G: What kind of guy do you like. H: I said awhile I like someone nice. G:do you like tall or short. H: it’s nice if he is tall. G: then do you like long hair or short. She says (your) short hair is better than when it was long. G:How about eyes. H: eyes – I dont like too big but it cant be too small. G: What about nose? mouth. She doesn’t answer. G: you have to answer. H: do I have to answer what you ask?  He says “answer when I ask.” She says no so he asks are you resisting/refusing to answer. H: yes. He makes the horse gallop to scare her more

T is waiting at the concert place. S shows up. T: what happened. you didnt come when the concert started. and when I checked and looked for you in the seats, you werent there and I couldnt reach you.  you showed up after it ended.  S: didnt you think that I wouldnt come? why didnt you go home. T: I put everything on the line for you so how could I quit and go back. I would’ve  waited all night. I am hungry so take responsibility.

During their meal T gets a call but he doesn’t take it. he says how for the first time he went against what his father wanted. I betrayed my father. My father might throw me away. I put everything on the line for you. if it’s this much- have I changed?  S: what will you do if I betray you after you put everything on the line for me. T: Then I lose everything. all of it. I will lose it. S: that’s scary. T: I am going to make it so you cant run away.

S gets on the elevator and G calls out for her to wait a minute

H goes to meet the chairman cuz she called H. chairman asks how are things at home. H: thanks to you we are doing well.  chairman where H went with TY during the housewarming cuz everyone was waiting. She says how they were talking outside and their conversation got longer and apologizes. Chairman says then you should have been more careful about that. H: I will be more careful. chairman: to be honest I dont like TY telling me to leave him alone. I dont like him living outside at the rooftop home but since TY was in an accident and cant remember so I am letting him live there in order for him to regain his memory. H: I know that well.  She asks if anything else is going on. are you dating TY. H: no I am not.

G says I want to ask you to teach me something.  so S asks what. He says do you know how to play squash. She says yes. I know how a little bit. G: then teach me. let’s do it right away today. She says I cant today but cant we do it tm? G: ok then I will practice alone today.  she asks if he knows where the squash courts are in front of the company. G: I know

Chairman asks H: so our TY suddenly appeared at your rooftop home. H: yes. chairman: and TY didnt know who he was at all? H: yes. Chairman: and TY never once said who he was? H: i had no way of knowing who he was. Chairman says it’s better to be careful about behavior between men and women (implying they shouldn’t date). H: yes I understand.

M and G are together at a café. M is showing him with a video game how to play squash. how to hit like this and that. the buzzer for letting you know your drink is ready buzzes so M says I will go and get the coffee. G says this is more important -rewind it and let’s watch it again. M says this keeps going off. G: just turn it off. M explains I cant turn this off. you have to give this buzzer back to that person or else it wont stop buzzing. G: you have to take it back to the one that’s calling for it. M: yes. G: give me that

G goes and asks how much to buy the buzzer

G gives it to H and it keeps buzzing for her. she tries to hide the buzzer but she can hear it. he keeps clicking it to make it go off. she finally shows up with it and he says you can go back.  cuz I was checking to see if it was working or not. She puts it down and says if you make this buzz one more time, I will turn your head. do you want your head to vibrate? he says she is coming on too threatening again. H: I am saying this clearly. At the office don’t act like you  know me. She leaves. He yells you have to take this with you. if you aren’t going to listen to me then you must move out

Chairman asks S to take TY’s sketchbooks of drawings he drew a long time ago. S: yes chairman. chairman says: I am not just asking you to go and give it to him. take this and look at it with him and talk. cuz he might remember his past when he sees this. maid comes over with some food. chairman tells S to take some side dishes TY likes. S: i will go and come back.

S goes to the rooftop home.

G is practicing squash.

S looks at TY’s sketches. She sees a drawing of the statue of liberty and the initials E.O. on it just like on H’s sketch with the butterfly. So S goes to H’s room to verify that and sees the same initials.

H comes home and S is in her room. H: what are you doing in someone else’s room. S: Why – is there something you cant be caught with. H: what are you doing in someone else’s room. S: you are more impudent the more I see you. H: dont say strange things and leave my room. S: should I tell you who is more strange. H says talking with you is tiring so leave. S: since when did you know TY. H: what? S: the chairman’s grandson TY -you knew it was him from the start. Pretending to not know him acting like you are nice helping someone who lost his memory. so you could get plenty of compensation. H: are you crazy. have you lost your mind. dont talk anymore nonsense and leave. leave my room. S says then you shouldn’t have impudently left this sketch out. she throws his book on the ground saying – this is  TY’s sketchbook. if you see the intials on the drawing then you cant say anything else. H looks at it and is shocked. S: why? do you feel indignant cuz you got caught in the middle of it? also cuz you were caught by me – does it upset you? the signature on Ty’s sketchbook and the signature on the drawing of you that you have -you cant say they are different can you? why? tell me it’s not true.

They hear chairman asking where is H. H goes out to meet her. the aunt and chairman are there. chairman asks where the drawing is. S gives her the sketch. Chairman: it really is what TY drew. aunt: this is your face park ha. it really is true.  chairman asks asks H: where and when did you get this picture. H: I got it 2 yrs ago in america. chairman asks : you knew he was TY two years ago and said you didn’t know. H: I dont know who gave that sketch. aunt: does that make sense. then who drew your face. of course the person who drew it gave it to you. H: it’s really true – I dont know. Chairman: even with that, you said you didnt know who TY was and rescued him at your rooftop home. you made his family suffer for two years and make TY suffer when he didnt know how to find his way home. H: it’s really true – I didnt know anything. Chairman slaps her and says “you awful girl.” S smirks.

H lost his handkerchief so G yells at her. how many times did I tell you that it’s the only one in this world. how many time?! H: all I have to do is find it. H digs through a huge pile of recycled clothes to look for it.

G kneels and says I like her – I like park Ha.

T says that Jang is about to give all her shares of the company to her daughter

S says to H: you are something else.

T’s dad tells S to quit

S tells G: I hid one product item.

G shows S the handkerchief with the butterfly and asks: doesn’t it look like you’ve seen the handkerchief with the butterfly somewhere before.

It absolutely kills me that we didn’t get to see what H read in that book. Why are you so cruel, Show? I wonder if it’s one of those things that will remain a mystery until the last episode, or if G will think to check the history books himself. I also wonder if G has the ability to change that history when he goes back.  In a way, I don’t want him to go back. Wouldn’t it be nice if that book said that G just disappeared after his wife’s death? Besides all the potential butterfly effects of a return to the past, I just love all the relationships that are forming in modern times. It’s not just G and H, but also M and Mimi, and even Y and H (his one-sided crush is oh-so-cute). The only issue is that I don’t want to see H’s counterpart in the past end up alone either, but both girls can’t have G! Can’t the real TY just get booted to the past? It’s a whole other spin-off drama in the making!

At any rate, since this a comedy I have my fingers crossed for a happy ending, and I don’t care if they have to bend the laws of space and time to give it to us. Despite this drama’s light-hearted side, I’m finding myself very attached to the characters, and I have no doubt that I’ll shed buckets of tears if I have to watch everyone part (I better get my buckets ready).

T and S were in fine form this week, wreaking havoc on the lives of their nemeses. I’m not sure how much more screen time we’ll get of life in the past, but I wonder if T existed in that time too. Is it possible that he was involved with the murder? Since this drama opened with that scene, it would be strange if that whole scenario never got solved. It’s hard to believe that there are enough episodes to sort out the present and the past, but this show crams so much into every episode that it might just be possible.

Despite all the big events that are always happening, I love that we’re never denied all the amusing little moments that keep us smiling, like M playing Go Stop, the boys staring down H’s date (he looks way better than he did in Moon/Sun, don’t you think?), and H’s makeover (finally!). I was seriously annoyed when I saw G “driving” (I couldn’t believe that he just magically knew how) so it was all the funnier when I saw that he was towed. I always like watching learning-to-drive scenes because they always seem so true to life. Has anyone learned to drive and had it go 100% peacefully?

When H wondered about G’s reasons for being in the present, I was surprised to realize that she doesn’t know about his princess. He ranted so much about her in the first episodes that I just assumed that H knew about it all. I’m sure she could get the truth out Y in a heartbeat if she wanted to (so hopefully she wants to!).

Luckily, however, it seems like G’s denial should come to an end soon. He’s clearly head over heals for H, and after breaking off her date and questioning her about her type during some romantic horseback riding, the truth should be fairly obvious even to someone as emotionally clueless as him. It was fun watching him struggle with his feelings for H, but I think it will be even more interesting watching what he does once he’s aware of those feelings. Just how deep is his loyalty for S?

However deep, I’m guessing that any loyalty will start to disintegrate the second G sees S being cruel towards H. She doesn’t seem like the type to get caught in front of him though, and it seems like the two of them are about to be shoved together by the family. How ironic is it that S wasn’t good enough for T, but she’s good enough for TY?

Tomorrow should be very interesting (as usual) and I imagine that two episodes will fly by almost as quickly as one.
